• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I see lots of KIA or other made cargo mats or trays to cover when the 3rd row seating is down...but nothing to cover the whole back when both 3rd and 2nd row seating is down. Especially if the 2nd row seating are the captain chairs with a gap between them. Thank you!

I haven't seen a product for that either. For myself, using the entire cargo area is such a rare occurrence that I just use a moving blanket (for the one time I did it).

I just use a tarp or moving blanket with a piece of 3/8 ply spanning the gap if needed. Worked fine for me, but I very rarely need this setup.

Thanks Monkey friend! I thought of something similiar as thats a good suggestion. Still curious if there is a custom tray (i like the ones with edges in case I haul something around - plants etc). I'll keep searching otherwise - your idea will suffice!

Thanks Tex! Moving blanket is a good idea - I may use tarp or something to prevent any moiture or dirt from damaging anything. Odd that they make a ton that cover behind the 2nd row but nothing to cover the whole space behind the drivers seats...I'm impressed with the huge space as I used to have full size vans.

And you can get a gap cover there as well. Of course I don't yet have it (or my Telluride - 3 more weeks), but some others have liked it

It can swallow a lot! If you know you will use the whole “bed” often, I can see how it would be nice to have a mat/tray built for that. Moving blanket works for me because I don’t want to have to store yet another item in my garage. For plants, I have found the produce boxes at Costco to be useful — low sides, sturdy construction, handles built in, can’t load them too heavy. Good luck!

FYI, I just asked the Canvasback folks if it's possible to just purchase the piece that protects the back of the third row and the cargo area (but not the two pieces that go on the back of the second row captain's chairs). They said absolutely- it'd be $145 and it's not available on their website, but you can call and pay with your credit card over the phone and they'll put the order in for you: 952-426-9490.

For long trips and needing space, I just put a thin piece of plywood over the captain’s chairs and a blanket. Don’t need anything fancy. Two dogs love it.

Thank you. Since I want something that goes all the way to the back of the front seats...I'll have to call Canvasback directly. Good suggestion- thank you for the #!
