Thank you for the quick reply. So on my old Dodge Journey, it also had a spare key and there was a key hole on the driver side door handle. However on the Telluride there is not a keyhole on the driver's door handle. Did they put it in some other location and I an just clueless to spot it?

From what I was told, there is a spot under than handle where the key can be inserted. Haven’t tried it yet though.

"When the smart key does not work correctly, open and close the door with the mechanical key and contact an authorized Kia dealer" page 4-10 of the manual.

I don't have the car, but that is what is in the manual.

There may be a plastic piece to remove? Not sure.

Yes, there is a plastic cover. remove that and key slot is under that cover
