• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I'm confused about the Drive Mode knob in FWD models. I know there are the four modes available to AWD models, but what does it do in FWD models? One of the forum members posted a photo showing the blank face plate under the knob but then said the different drive modes showed in the in dash display. Curious what it actually does if anything and if nothing then why is the knob still there?

Sport mode holds revs at a higher rpm. Gets you marginally better performance and worse gas mileage.

FWD has sport, eco, comfort and smart mode. I think it's only missing snow and the lock button. We drive mostly in sport because it makes the Telluride hum for such a big vehicle.

The most recent one I drove was FWD, one previous was AWD. The knob is there to change modes, and that respective mode appears on the small screen between the gauges. The AWD model actually showed the mode next to the knob.
