Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Thank you. I was told the physical key was only for when the battery died on the fob.

I live in NYC and park on the street.
I’d have to assume any city should require hiding valuables and honestly these days our small towns do too.
I asked the question the way I did for levity. I just didn’t know why there was a lock with no key. Has anyone ever kept gloves in the “glove compartment”? Maybe in 1920. As for the state of NYC in these weird times, that’s a much longer discussion.
