• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I need a secure place to keep my gloves. There is a lock on the glove compartment, but I have a keyless fob. How can I lock and unlock that thing?

Magic? :P

Pull out the physical key from the fob. Details are in the user manual.

Thank you. I was told the physical key was only for when the battery died on the fob.

Gotta be this to lock it up.

You live out west don't you?

They will steal anything out there.

edit: not trying to be a hater, but on other forums when I see questions like this it's mainly southern cali folks. Now that I assumed, OP prob lives in Nebraska or something.

I live in NYC and park on the street.

I’d have to assume any city should require hiding valuables and honestly these days our small towns do too.

I asked the question the way I did for levity. I just didn’t know why there was a lock with no key. Has anyone ever kept gloves in the “glove compartment”? Maybe in 1920. As for the state of NYC in these weird times, that’s a much longer discussion.
