Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

Great Dealer Experience in the Chicago Area

We picked up our new dark moss Telluride SXP with dune brown interior at International KIA of Orland on Friday and paid MSRP. Our salesman was Max Byrne, and the purchase process went smoothly with no last minute surprise charges. I was offered an extended warranty which I declined. We were there about two and a half hours, most of which was taken up by Max trying to teach us about all the options.

We ordered it on August 10th, so our wait was 3 months and 9 days.

International KIA is still charging MSRP on factory orders, but add a surcharge for cars on the lot (if any) or cars in transit.

That’s great to hear, as I placed an order with them a little over a month ago.

Curious, did you finance any portion of your purchase? Edit - I will move this over to the Chicago thread.

No we did not finance it.

Thanks for the compliment. I actually did a thank you post to the whole forum because there sharing got me here!

Well it has been said numerous times on here but it's worth saying again, Lucas Boehm at Kia of Muncie is the man! From the initial order through pickup, Lucas was fantastic. No BS, always prompt responses and updates, absolutely the smoothest car buying process I've been through. Under MSRP with Costco discount, low doc fee, fair price on the trade in, very smooth sailing. Even beat the intial estimate of 6-8 months. Couldn't be happier. The whole crew at Kia of Muncie were great.

After a few days of ownership and a couple of 300+ mile road trips, I'm very impressed with the Telluride. It is everything it's cracked up to be and more.

If you are looking for MSRP and are willing to wait, I would highly recommend Kia of Muncie. In these times of crazy "market adjustments" it's very refreshing to see a quality dealer. Much respect.

I picked up my SXP from Northtown Kia in Buffalo. They kept to their promise of charging only MSRP. Yusef was my salesperson and he did an excellent job communicating with me and responding quickly when I had questions while waiting for my Telluride to to be built/delivered. My car arrived about a month sooner than anticipated, so that helped too!

They will actually ship it to me ... I dont have to fly in, everything can be done remotely, and btw shipping is not espensive... its 1400 for open truck and 1700 for closed truck,

The wait time was 2 months to get filled... + 90 days to arrive from Kia to dealer. so a total of 4-6 months
I ordered mine today. Had a horrible experience with sussman kia so i decided to place another order with i25. What did you order? I ordered a base EX and was told it was closer to 3-4 months for delivery.

Hello,
Is there any dealer with a lead time of 2-4 months ? I ordered from kia hilltop in march and back then it was 6-8 months and in november they said its again 8 more months. So i am deciding to switch dealerships.

Any recommendations ?
you should definitely switch. I had a similar experience with a dealership and just ordered with i25 and will have it shipped. I think the best bet is if you don't want to pay over sticker, you need to go to a high volume dealer and just get the car shipped or pick it up yourself.

I just placed an order with Nicole at i25 after reading all the great reviews about them. She very clearly explained the process to me of what I should expect with getting a car delivered. The part that I was really pleased with was her transparency. Many other dealers won’t answer any questions regarding how many cars they get a month, or where you are in line etc. She on the other hand gave me all that information and mo, which gave me great confidence in her estimate being accurate, unlike Sussman (who I currently have an open order with but will most likely cancel)

Interesting, I just talked to another guy at Northtown who wanted a $2500 market adjustment over MSRP and a $1397 "Environmental protection package"...

Any i25 folks experiencing delays? I placed my deposit early October and was told it would take 2-4 weeks to be filled. As of yesterday, I'm still waiting for an ETA and for the order to be filled. I was told after the order gets accepted, it takes about 90 days to get to the dealer. Looking at ~5 months now which seems longer than usual for them?

Finding the same initial delay with Gossett in TN. Already a month in and no pick up confirmation or eta. Nada.

Ugh this is not good news. What did you order?

I placed an order mid-October with Carlos Rubio at I25 and he contacted me mid-November; told me the car is being built but no ETA yet. I ordered an Everlasting Silver SXP/NF/T.

GWP SXP on Oct 12th. No NF and no tow

Apparently, I'm #17 on the list. Said my order is highlighted so it's in process but still no updates yet.

I highly recommend I-25 Kia dealership in Longmont, CO (near Denver), and particularly the salesperson Carlos Rubio (who I sought out, after reading so many great reviews about him & I-25 Kia on this forum!), who made the entire buying process very simple, stressless, and efficient.

I purchased the vehicle remotely from out-of-state (CA), due to I-25 Kia being one of the few Kia dealerships not charging a dealer markup on the Telluride. I was able to do all the purchasing paperwork & loan paperwork online, then sign some paperwork that was mailed to me. I really appreciated not receiving any hardsell on the
extras options.

Then when I picked up my vehicle, it was very quick, around 15 minutes, for them to show me the features, and then I was on my way!
I would send anyone wishing to buy a Telluride (or any Kia, for that matter) to Carlos Rubio at I-25 Kia!
