However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Good morning chat over coffee thread

Nicest weather you could possible imagine for Piedmont NC. low 70%, low humidity, and sunny skies.

I'm sitting on my screened porch, watching my plants grow. It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it. Sometimes I even drink a beer or two, then recline my chair and check my eyelids for leaks.

Wishing I was right here where I am. How fortunate can one old guy be?

I've been traveling between locations and finally got a chance to sit down and check out the website.
We drove the Telluride back from the mts. I have an after market seat cushion in it now to help the uncomfortable seating in our car. It really helps. Normally two hours is about all I can stand, but yesterday I was able to drive for 4 hours without discomfort. If KIA would improve the seating, give us a "real" massage seat instead of this ever hour or two hour simple vibration, then it would be the perfect car for me. I still love it, don't get me wrong, but some improvements would help from my point of view.
My 2017 F150 has the best massage seats I've ever had. They actually massage and have a low and high setting.

Coffee is long gone this morning.
Nice weather here in the piedmont of NC. 86° for a high today. Almost hot.

G'day formites!
Sometimes a decent back massage can really be helpful while driving. I mean, yeah, first world problems. But some vehicles do a really great job at this. I bet the second generation Telluride addresses this issue...

Good morning fellow Telluride owners.

our Telluride is visiting the Western North Carolina High Country with us. We have been here for over a week now, but plan to return to the Piedmont region of NC in another 5 or 6 days.
Weather is unpredictable in a Temporate Rainforest. Storms and fog one minute and beautiful sunshine and views the next minute. A big storm pattern with all the flashing lights and noise went through in the pre-dawn hours, but now it is bright sunshine and getting into the mid-60's.
The Telluride took us ramp hunting last week. Ramps are found in small patches here in the high country. Usually in partially shaded damp areas with little traffic. They are quite the elusive veggie only available for 3 or 4 weeks at most.

The weather has been pretty nice around here in South Florida. Visited Austin for a day last week and it was really quite nice there. No humidity. Getting humid here, though. Are you seeing many Tellurides throughout your travels?

We see several Tellurides during our travels. A black one in our neighborhood here in the mts. We are casual friends with them and see each other weekly when we are in the mts. They bought it a few months before we did, despite us never having a conversation about Tellurides. He traded a 10 year old Hyundai Sante Fe for it.
In the lowlands, our neighbor across the culdesac from us has a close friend who has the exact color and model as ours.

Another glorious day in WNC. The trees are beginning to bud at the higher elevations. We ride down the mountain into town and the leaves are out in full, but still just barely budding over 5000 feet.
High today predicted to be 70°.

Finishing the last of the coffee, then maybe we will take a nice hike to the ski lift stations above us.

Breezy this morning, grass dried early, cut & edged the back lawn, tomorrow the front.
Forecast calls for rain again Wed. & Thurs., May seems wetter than normal, hope the plants are enjoying it..

Low 40's here in the mts of WNC. Rain and fog are the order of the day.

I gassed up the Telluride in North Wllksboro, NC. (Sheetz, 2.49 a gallon). Drove from North Wilksboro to Boone, NC and had an average of 21.9 MPG. From Boone, NC to the house is 24 miles. It took about 45 minutes to make the drive and gas mileage dropped to 17.9 MPG. Lots of twisties, lots of uphill.

Good morning all!

The 25 turned 400 miles on 05/21/2025.
The 24 turned 1300 miles on 05/19/2025.
My 2014 GT500 turned 4600 miles on 05/26/2025 !!

Good morning to you too! We're already seeing 90s here in Florida. At least it's sunny and clear... Sounds like you had some fun with your Telluride! How does it feel on those twisties?

Such low miles... At least they're all nice to look at! :p

Been busy and neglecting this forum.

We will have 5000 miles on our 24 by the end of this week. Still loving it, but it is still new.
The seat discomfort was solved by adding an aftermarket cushion from Amazon. Only reccomendation I have is get one with as many fastening points as possible. This one only fastens around the seat between the cushion and the backrest and I'm constantly centering it as I drag my arse in and out.

Sorry Telluride Forum, but no comments on the '26. I have this 24 and it will be around for 6-10 years, so no sense torturing myself with what is out there or about to be out there. I ain't tradin', can't afford to.

Coffee is ready and despite the nice cool weather up here at altitude in WNC, Boss says were are heading to the hot and humid lowlands for a spell.

Just a couple of mornings have passed since i last posted. ;) We now have 8,400 miles on the Telly. I changed the oil for the first time at 4500, but will be following the Kia schedule from here out.
The twisty roads in WNC are handled pretty well by the Telly. It's an SUV, not the best at such roads, but no slouch either.

The leaves have turned color and then fallen to the ground in the higher elevations in WNC. We've had a couple of light frosts, but no snow yet.

Still doing coffee every AM.

Since your last post, ( 6 June 2025 ) the following happened:
Took the 25 in for it's 1st oil change, 29 July 2025 @ 662 miles.
Took the 24 in for it's 3rd oil change, 7 Oct. 2025 @ 1595 miles..

It was nice to see this discussion appear in my emails this morning. :) Yes, it's been a minute! :p

I've been busy doing the things I love (which is actually work - creating websites):

...and, believe it or not, I'm filing an AI technology patent. :p I'm a bit of an old fart, but I'm still learning new tricks.
