However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Good morning chat over coffee thread

I was debating WeatherTech flaps, but I may go with the OEM.

I have WeatherTech mats in every car, but never tried their flaps.
Was it just the fit that you didn't like?

I put the WeatherTech flaps on my '25 SXP last weekend, very pleased with them.

The front 2 flaps each require removing 3 OEM Phillips screws in the wheel well, then holding the flaps in place while reinstalling the 3 OEM Phillips screws through the holes in the flaps.

The rear 2 flaps each require removing 2 OEM Phillips screws in the wheel well, and 1 plastic push fastener on the underside of the fender for the lower mounting point. 2 new plastic push fasteners are included with the rear flaps to accommodate the added thickness of the flap. Those fasteners (on mine anyway) were an impossibly tight fit for the size of the lower holes in the flaps, but a few turns with a hand reamer opened up the holes to be a proper fit for the new fasteners (took a total of 3-4 minutes to enlarge the lower holes on both flaps). Actually, the fasteners weren't too big, just the lower holes in the flaps were too small. The new fasteners fit the existing mounting holes in the lower mount position of the fender well just fine. Overall, my experience was a quick and easy 45 minute install for all 4 flaps. The instruction sheets are available on the WeatherTech site.

The contours and fit are perfectly matched to the vehicle, and color/texture match to the mounting area material is excellent. All contacting surfaces are plastic on plastic, so no worries about protecting painted body surfaces underneath where the flaps mount. I came back from Vermont ski country this afternoon and each flap had a good sized chunk of ice hanging on it for most of the 3 hour drive and no problems.... tight, strong and sturdy.

The fit issue was with the push pin on the rear flaps, I had to force the pin through the flap, didn't have this issue when I did the 24.
The WeatherTech flaps look like the protrude a little more, which is what you want.

The WeatherTech's do look better, I may just order a set this week.
Thanks to both of you for the comments and pictures.

I hate those chilly mornings in Florida....... Just stop TF, rubbing it in is not a good look right 1A2? LOL

Getting better here in the Piedmont of NC, 31° this morning, sunny and a high of 50° on the way.

Looks like a WNC mountain trip will be in my future next week. I need to check on the house, any excuse to get up there in God's country.

coffee is hot and now.

morning folks!
Hah! Oh, don't worry, while you're all having beautiful Summer weather up north, we'll be melting down south. :p :p

As usual I'm late to the party but it's 69 degrees and cloudy here today. I wouldn't mind the temperature staying this way all year. But I'd like to see more sun. It's been overcast a lot lately. My coffee is blah as usual but I deal with it. :D

I drove in and out of Charlotte NC early this morning for Dr. Appt.
Left home at 6:50am, arrived at Dr. office at 7:45am. Office opened at 8am, out of Dr. office at 8:10am. Drove home arriving by 9:10am.
Appt took 10 minutes tops. Drive time almost 2 hours...... Love I-77 doing double duty as an Interstate and a Parking Lot.

32° at sun up.

Coffee is ready

Morning folks!

Drilled 2 holes in my front bumper to mount a plate the state of New Jersey requires. Now if my new registration would show up, I could mount those plates.
Researching CF interior parts, found a Co. in Canada that sells a kit, sent them an email for more info..
.

I had a nice cup of regular coffee while I perused the forums, emails, and news on the web.

Driving to WNC this morning in an hour or so.

Not taking the Telly, decided the Subaru needed some attention. Plus, I'm going solo, so the Boss prefers using the Telly. Since the Telluride has taken up residence in our garage, she refuses to drive any of the other vehicles.

off I go to prepare for the drive.

Morning folks.

Not a good day.
Yesterday my dealership called & said N.J. MVC can't transfer my vanity plate to the Telluride.
Went to my local MVC today, they were no help, gave me an 800 # to call.
Called the 800 # & was given the " steps " that had to be done to get the plate transfer.
It all starts with a set of plates I don't want, didn't order, & don't have currently, bet this will take another month to straighten out..

Aw man, when dealing with MVC, and 800 numbers you'd better pack lunch and maybe a change of clothes! Remember just have Patience Grasshopper!

Although the 800 # was just able to describe the " hoops " I would have to jump through, I did get a real person & no wait time. That has to be a 1st when dealing with a state agency !!

1A2... remarkable for sure!!!

Got to the mts yesterday under a beautiful sunny sky.
Leaving later today after installing camera, cleaning some small limbs from a recent windy weather event, and changing furnace filters.

Coffee for now!

Good Morning!

welcome.

Aired up the tires on both, 4 to 5 lbs. low.
Got my plates yesterday, mounted them today. ( after riding around for 2 days with expired temp tags )
Called MVC to get the cost of transferring my vanity plates, & had a couple of questions on the transfer form.
This will all be over in several weeks..

I've been out of the loop a bunch also.

Wife with a fractured bone in her foot, me with a couple of scheduled Drs. appts.
Niece giving birth to her first baby.
Telluride about to need it's first oil and filter change.

The hits just keep coming.

For now, I'll wish for getting back to my normal morning routine of coffee and a bagel or oatmeal and a nice relaxing "stroll" through the news and the forums.

off I go!

coffee is hot, coffee is good.
WNC at the higher elevations got 3 inches or more of snow last night.
3 inches is nice.... very pretty. A foot on the other hand is a menace..... too much work comes with it.

Too foggy and overcast for pictures, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

morning all

Yikes. Foot fractures and breaks take a while to heal... New baby coming into the family, very cool... Congratulations. :) Nothing new here for me. Well, I've only got hot carob today. Not even instant coffee. I need to get out and go shopping. :p Chilly here this morning! 50s. :p

Roughed out my federal tax return today, not a question of if I have to pay, just how much each year.
More than last year, but all things considered not bad !!
.

Will be paying1900 bucks federal this year at the last possible minute. Plus we are both retired and pay quarterly taxes. Somebody is living high on my bucks, 'cause we sure as hell ain't.
