Got My Delivery Detail Info Today

My dealer called with the delivery detail for my order and texted me a screenshot of the Detail Delivery Status, which listed the following:

Body in: 09/01/2020
Paint in: 09/02/2020
Trim in: 09/03/2020
Production Completed: 09/04/2020
Final inspection: 09/09/2020
Tendered not Shipped: 09/13/2020
Shipment out: 09/15/2020
Dealer arrival: 09/20/2020

I placed my order with the dealer at the end of January.

Has anyone seen this delivery status on their cars? Does it tend to be accurate? The dealer said they have seen the date slide up or down by a week, sometimes two.

After seven months I finally have a deliver date. I'm beginning to think this might actually happen.

The detail is awesome. First time I've personally seen that kind of detail posted here.

Agree, excellent detail. What your dealer is saying about slippage seems to line up with what others are saying as well. Sounds like you have an honest dealer to this point.

Great. Yes, that's from a Kia system screenshot. All dealers can see that... Wish more would just screenshot and send to clients. Would save a lot of speculating on the forum and asking every other day for VIN tracking. Oh well... sounds like you have a good dealer.

Talk about patience...you were the next SX allocation to go in with @StephenCantrelle and then the plant closed down...must have driven you crazy being #1 for that long but here we are!

Not to high jack the awesome news on here...I can't even get a screenshot saying my order went through...it was supposed to come today but crickets from salesperson.

Just put in an order with Mitch...I'll cough up 1k for shipping at this point but need someone who knows what they are talking about!

Yeah - I am spoiled. I didn't know it back in January when I started working with @StephenCantrelle - but I ended up with one of the most responsive salesmen currently working at KIA. He has earned every loyal customer he has.

As for your dealer - he should be able to get this for you. No reason not to.

Texted me just now and said, "send it as soon as it hits" / "supposed to be today"..........

I know the July allocation window closed yesterday...if I got in, great, send me the info - if I didn't then...well...Kia dealers need to start doing a better job at sharing bad news.

Why can't all Kia dealers provide this type of update for their customers? Seems like a very small ask. I put my deposit down on 12/15/19. I can't even get a simple yes or no if the order has been placed.
