• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone had this coating applied professionally? How long have you had it, How.has it performed so far ?

So I had Modesta BC-04/05 Ceramic coating professionally applied to my Telluride. ~2 years ago. Advertised to last up to 10 years. 2 years in and its still easy to clean. Water still beads up and rolls off nicely.

On the flip side I applied Adam's advanced graphene ceramic coating to my wife Sportage myself. ~7 months ago. Advertised to last 9+ years. I did 2 coats over the course of 5 days or so after cleaning/polishing. It was pretty easy to apply, but time consuming. Can't tell a difference between the two cars in terms of shedding water.

My Telluride's paint looks better upon close inspection, but it was professionally detailed/coated. At a distance both cars look great. Verdict on durability is still up in the air. Would I have the Telluride professionally ceramic coated if I were do to it over? Probably not. It was really pricey and tbh i've been very satisfied with Adam's performance so far. On the side note. PPF is 100% worth it. Its saved both cars from paint chips.

I used Ethos graphine coating (glass jar, version 1.0) and maintain with their graphine spray and ceramic quick detailer. My brother used the Adams graphine spray on his new car and plopped good as well. I also used the turtle wax graphine on my wife’s Benz; all three are very good products. Turtle was is the cheapest and easily available and is used for both initial and maintenance applications. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. Glad the performance of the coatings are tracking so far. I had a graphene coating professionally applied on our SXP 5 weeks from build date. While I think spending thousands with the dealer for these coatings is a waste of $, I justified spending hundreds to get a solid application to see if this tech keeps the vehicle looking great using touch less or simple hand wash. There are so many variables in the active ingredients, coating manufacturing process, and detailer process… hard to nail down the best cost effective option. Time and a yearly detail, will tell.
