If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Ok I was wrong. I sat in the back while the wife drove and holy cow the HK set up is sweet. I really encourage everyone to check out the other rows of their Telly. I'm 6'3 and sat in the 3rd row comfortably. The music sounds really really good back there.

Only had my Telly since yesterday but so far, I'm impressed with the Harman Kardon system. Plenty of bass and nice mids and highs as well.

Sounds great from the driver's seat at least :)

Have you tried the quantum logic and bass boost function in hidden menu that andymoney mentioned? My wife’s Rav4 Limited hybrid’s premium audio system is known to sound worse than the speakers in lesser trim models according to many users. I’m no audiophile so the sound is good enough.
Is the quantum logic and bass boost supposed to on?? Box checked? Or off for better sound??

good questions.

Also, what were the audio settings when y'all received your Tellurides?

On mine, the bass was set at +10, treble +4 and mids +3 and the other boxes checked.

Are these the default settings? :ROFLMAO:

One thing I’d like to see are default presets for the equalizer (rock, soft rock, classical, easy listening, etc) that could be adjusted from preset to taste. I have an HD music player that has this feature and it’s quite handy.

All of our settings were zeroed out (middle) and no boxes checked at delivery. I believe there is a reset to defaults button as you scroll down the screen though I haven't tried it. I have adjusted the settings some but will do more playing with it when in the car alone.

Interesting. Thank you for letting me know.

Whoever tested my Telly in West Point must have really liked bumpin' some tunes while going around the test track. Probably got carried away and forgot to zero out the audio settings :ROFLMAO:

New member here. I am also on the fence between an EX and SX and I like music. We had a HK system in a mini cooper years ago and I was not impressed. I guess I need to listen to both systems before I place my order. I foresee a White EX or SX within the next 6 months or so in my driveway.
Curious - what did you go with? We are currently debating between the EX and SX and the sound system is part of what has me torn.

Need more info there f-type! Looks clean in that storage bin
You could get away with just adding a mono sub amp (under front passenger seat) to run this subwoofer. The sub box was custom made to fit the space and correct air mass for the sub, It helped a lot to the overall sound but I keep going and added a Bit10 processor and a 5 channel amp (800 Watts, DB Audio) to drive the Subwoofer and Focal mid's and tweeters in the doors... It sounds so so good....

If you are only considering the SX for the upgraded sound system, I'd pass on dishing out the extra money and just upgrade the system in the EX to some nice aftermarket speakers. Now, if the SX interests you because of all the other options it gets you, i say go for it. I have an SXP and absolutely love the vehicle. I've not regretted spending the extra money over the EX or even just the SX.
Hey there I am looking at a telluride ex and I was very disappointed in the radio sound. I am considering the sx for the sound system. I just saw this post and I am curious if the speakers are able to be swapped out and if anything thinks that just better speakers will be enough for the vehicle. The ex only has 6 speakers from what I understand and it really lacks in the sound department if you ask me. Any advice I would appreciate!

How much better does the Harman Kardon system sound over the standard?

I can tell that my 2022 SX HK sounds marginally better in Siriusxm and usb media with compared to 2018 outback Li. However, FM/AM sounds about equal. Not impressed.

I would expect better sound quality in a model that is 4 years advanced and 40% more expensive.

Thanks Vad13, that's pretty disappointing. You'd think with how they describe it with the full rich bass, 10 speakers, etc, that it would be killer sound. Thanks again.

Don't get me wrong, I love this vehicle but for reasons other than sound system. And there are plenty of em.

If just for better sound system, sturdy windshield and window glasses, better Auto start/stop and wireless Appleplay or Android auto, this would be a 10/10 vehicle imo. It's still a very good 8.5/10 for me.

Agreed, very nice vehicle. Just weird on a couple things as you mentioned. Not to get off Subject too much but Telly roof rails not so good. Ever see Subaru's roof rails? Now that's a company who figured some things out like that. My wife has an '18 Outback. Perfectly integrated cross bars come with the roof rails even on base models! I don't think roof rails (without cross bars) on Telly's SX trim are even standard, are they? Shouldn't the SX have them? And side steps etc.

Do you know where the extra 4 speakers on the Harman Kardon sound system are?

I have the HK system and I love it. My hubby is a guitar player and says my system is better than anyone he knows so I’ll keep it. It does take some tweaking of the advanced settings and it really depends on what you listen to but I would not trade for a lesser system.
