Heated steering wheel

I have an SX AWD, no prestige package. When I turn on my heated steering wheel it will automatically turn off after a period of time, is this normal? I can turn it right back on

It would turn off after 30-60 min in my BMW, so I would say this is normal. They are heaters and not a cure for poor circulation, haha

They turn off automatically. I'm sure it's on a timer.

Same as the seats, you can get burns even at relatively low temps over long periods of time. So they are trying to avoid that.

Yes, confirmed. Don't worry. You can just press the conveniently-located button again, kind of like a hot tub timer. Things with heating elements like toasters, ovens, electric blankets, irons, other machinery tend to have auto shut-off to keep from overheating.

Love the heated steering wheel. Warm hands = a good thing
