If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey Canadian Buyers , who wants the 20" Black wheels ??

I just got my SX w/Napa and swapped out the heart wheels immediately. They cost me 2k all in but I had negotiated that off the cars price. I'm using the original tires. They fit perfectly on this 20 x 9 Braelin wheel. It rides exactly the same and I'm loving how it looks! đź’Ż

Hi.
so you used the stock telluride tires and they stretched onto 20x9 rims that you purchased aftermarket? Looking at doing this myself and then buying winter tires to put on the stock rims. Just wanted to confirm the stock tires fit on 20x9 rims and there is no rubbing and enough clearance.

Thanks.
Also are you selling the rims you took off? If so do you have a photo and price. And where are you located.
Thanks again

I did use the original Michelin 20x245x50 tires (excellent tires) that were on my original 20 rim of the SX which here in Canada is the same silver 20 rim of the EX in the US. The tire is not stretched, it is actually the recommended size for a 9' rim. You can look it up, 245 and 255 is the recommended size on a 9. 235 and 265 will also fit.
This wheel is listed as an OEM replacement on many aftermarket wheel sites. So are many 8.5' wheels that also fit perfectly.
The ride feels is the same.
Clarence is the same because the rim is the same height. No rubbing because the wheel offset is correct for a 9'.
I also bought new tire sensors because I didn't want to take a chance removing and replacing the original ones. Sometimes this can lead to a bad reading.

Hi , I am set on only buying a Telly SX Limited IF I can get it with the black 20" wheels that the US is getting ....................my dealer has confirmed that KIA Canada has decided not to offer them on the SX and above models . Today I sent a note to the Director of Marketing of KIA Canada making a case for the black wheel as an option .Are there any others that want them ?? We need to assemble as a group to press for their availability . Let me know and I'll gladly take the lead on this with KIA .
I agree. Totally bogus that this and other options are not available. I called Kia Canada and told them that this was my seventh vehicle from Kia and that if they could assist my dealer with getting black rims I would buy and if not, I wouldn't get the vehicle. The person said , 'No', and wouldn't elaborate past that answer. The worst way you could answer a customer.

Agree , as I wrote at the beginning of this thread I contacted their new Dir of Marketing to make a case for making the black wheels available and he basically blew me off .........................I'm not paying a nickle for a new set of wheels . Things will change but its going to take time ....................I grabbed a new Sportage for 2 years in hopes that the better pricing and options become more available .........................

Why not just plastidip wheels and save $?
PD works well for a while but it will peal at the bead when the tires are compressed when hitting bumps ( been there ) plus the OEM wheels are FUGLY IMHO !

Has this issue has been resolved for Canada as of May, 2020, 1 year after all these posts ?
I just bought a Telluride SX limited Nappa in Canada, and ordered the 20 inch black rims with winter tires installed and balanced, as an EXTRA set, as my new vehicle comes standard with the silver rims.
But the 20-inch black wheels are not visible on Kia.ca, nor on a detailed accessory list I got my hands on.
So I hope the give me the correct wheels, as I told them I would not accept anything less than the genuine Kia product. Also, I saw on one of the gazillion YouTube videos I reviewed prior to purchase, that there are various black telluride wheels available in the USA, depending on the trim you buy. So I’m not exactly sure what I actually bought, bought the picture the dealer showed me looked identical to the black rims on all the telluride videos...

Just put some EuroDesign Techs on mine. 8.5 inch width. Reused the original all-season tires. Looks great! 1200CAD delivered from PMCtires.

Perhaps a dumb question, but could a person take the Canadian OEM rims and have them anodyzed black? If so, it might be both a durable and reasonable option to plasti-dip or buying a complete new set of rims.

I looked into it and it was like $200 per wheel might as well buy new rims and have the Oems as a snow set

RTX Black Widow 20" x 9" on the OEM Michelin Primacy
The 9" is slightly more beefy and fits great with a OEM look yet upgraded.
Fits and runs perfect.

The OEMs are now Winters :geek:

I’m surprised the fit is so good (the look is definitely perfect). Mine at 8.5” width will rub at full lock and weight transfer. At 9” you don’t have any rub? Or did you trim the wheel liner?

I haven't heard or seen any rub. The guys at Kal tire who did the install said no issues. I've packed it pretty good with 2 kids and full of camping gear and 4 bikes on the trailer and it didn't rub.
The rub on your 8.5 may not be due to the rim width but offset of wheel.

Mine are 9" and no rub either.... and just like pernstar said, OEMs are now winters ;)
