The Homelink Mirror on my 2007 Santa Fe I just gave to charity also had a basic compass imbedded in the mirror. The Telly mirror does not have that and I kinda miss it.
You are talking about the SX mirror. This thread is about the accessory mirror that has the compass and Homelink. The Homelink Mirror on my 2007 Santa Fe I just gave to charity also had a basic compass imbedded in the mirror. The Telly mirror does not have that and I kinda miss it.
Looks the same but thats a Forte part #. Hopefully it fits. For sure the S9F62-AU000 works. Plug and play takes about 5 minures.I was researching homelink mirror for my EX-P. Found the S9F62-AU000 that has 3 button homelink, auto dimming and compass. While trying to find one on eBay I found M7F62-AU000 which looks like the same mirror and is a KIA part number. I pulled the trigger on it as it was only 125.00 compared to 250.00. Will be here tomorrow and will update my post if it is compatible. I don't see why it would not be, it has the same mirror connection and wiring harness as the Telluride. Hopefully I saved some money on this because the
You are correct on the Forte. I cross referenced it with KIA parts and it’s the same mirror and has the same wiring harness / plug that is included with the telluride kit. It should, it comes with the wiring kit if you already don't have a auto dim mirror.I’m wondering if this would work for my 21 S; it’s just a basic mirror![]()
No. They are referring to the UVO connect buttons on the ceiling by the sunroof controls. Some Kia models have these buttons on the rear mirror, but the Telluride has never had it on the mirror.Hey guys, stumbled on this thread using the search function. We just bought a 2021 EX, and wanted to order the OEM Homelink mirror referenced above. Unfortunately, my VIN doesn't show up in the online Kia parts stores I have visited (perhaps they have not been updated for 2021s?). I ordered it anyway (using my VIN) and was sent a message that it may not fit my car because it may have a UVO mirror. The car has the standard Telluride mirror with power button but no UVO button, but the parts person still thought I have a UVO mirror because the car has UVO. The Kia UVO phone help was not helpful; the guy tried to find out and then came back with "the recommendation is to stay with the factory mirror the car came with."
Anyway after reading the thread I am 99% sure I can use this mirror, but just wondering if anyone knows if any Tellurides even come with an UVO mirror?
Thanks!
Any idea if the entire part was the same as the Telly part #? I have an S and am wondering if the included wiring harness was the same length and any other parts needed are included for the non-plug and play version.I was researching homelink mirror for my EX-P. So this will fit the 22 Telly EXP?Howdy folks. This is a cool community.
I just drove my base-LX Telluride home, and immediately started the upgrades, so wanted to help out others here.
FYI, I bought one of these off of eBay. Ordered from here. Just $83 shipped.
Install was pretty easy. I literally spent more time reading up on it than doing it. I'd say it was 20min total. Keep in mind, this is a base LX, so no wiring harness already up at the mirror area. The instructions and harness that comes with this version says its for a Sorento, but used the instructions in this post, with some adjustments:
I didn't remove the A-pillar all the way, so no need to cut and replace the 1-time clips.
Those instructions only provide ignition-switched power (for the dimming and compass), but not the always-on HomeLink button power (the harness that comes with the mirror at that eBay link has 3 wires: switchedPower, alwaysPower, Gnd/neg). So I connected the other wire to a solid red on 2 connectors over on the fuse panel and it works like a charm. If anyone needs a pic, let me know.
So, to encourage anyone that is wondering: yes, it is really pretty easy to do this even if the wiring harness isn't there, and you still get the HomeLink power, and for just $83!
I'm pleased. Thanks to those here that try to help out!
I'm no authority, but I'm still 99.999% sure that it has to. The bracket is a standard format, and it just needs basic power. As I understand it (from reading several threads), the EX will have a power connector already up at the mirror location. Folks say in this case its like a 3min install. Crazy easy. Only issue could be the connector is different (if the version bought is the wrong pin-count; check the eBay listing), and even then, you can just tap/soldier if you're capable to do that.So this will fit the 22 Telly EXP?
It is a 3min job. My wife’s EXP Telly NF came with the auto dim mirror, pretty lame for a 45k car, but that’s another issue. The recommended mirror, if you want homelink has a built in compass according to KIAs aftermarket catalogue. Much better than the the factory one that comes in the SX Telly’s. It was plug and play. I found the mirror on eBay. Brand new, said it fits KIA Forte only. I took a gamble for 100.00 because why would they change these parts from model to model. Easily plug and play, unless you have a Telly with manual mirror. In that case there is an install kit.I'm no authority, but I'm still 99.999% sure that it has to. Yes, exactly. For the EX, its just unscrew the existing, and replace with new, and plug in the connector. For the lower trims that don't have the power harness, its still really pretty easy, just 15-20min instead of 3-5min. Don't be intimidated! It is a 3min job. I def like the homelink mirror with built in compass. It looks a little more correct than the one that comes standard in SX Telly.Yes, exactly.
