• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... How long do you plan on keeping your TELLURIDE?

I wouldn’t trust 1 life on level 5, let alone 7 lives on a level 4, no thanks. Of course, this is just MHO.

Understandable. Would always want the ability to monitor and intervene.

However, there is no question in my mind that human drivers are the most dangerous factor. It would be much safer and efficient to drive on a road populated by autonomous vehicles vs humans.

So you basically don't really travel anywhere. Almost all planes have full automation by now. They pretty much take off and land by themselves or will in the future. Most trains do or will run fully automated in the next few years. You may not trust level 5 but your neighbor, friends, and other drivers will. You will be riding down the road surrounded by them. In the next few years, you will have to lock yourselves in the basement to get away from it.

Yeah sure, and you are probably the type who claims electric cars are far better than gas cars because they are "green". Where do you think the electricity comes from when you charge your amazingly green Tesla? COAL

My last car.. I believe the Telluride will out live me. Lets hope so for I was not in debt and had everything paid off but had to have a car to pull my boat so wife and I can go fishing. Could have bought this one outright but interest rates too good for my IRA's pay more than the interest rate so why spend the cash. Anyway so far very happy with the Telluride. Will be towing next month after I get a few miles on car. It does turns head and yes people walk up and look. Glad I ordered mine when I did. All be safe and enjoy your new rides

Traded in a 2013 Pilot with 160K so probably keep the Telly for the same amount of time/miles.

3 years because we leased ours.

Driving the AWD EX now, but as soon as demand comes back down to earth, will be trading it in for a AWD SX Prestige. Same color combo: Boss Moss and grey.

Laughing and choking at the same time... You are planning on trading your first one in on another and I have yet to get mine after an order in 4 Months) April... Maybe I did something wrong when I ordered a Black On Black SXP/AWD/Tow... Maybe shoulda bought a 2020 Chevy Cruze... OHHH Wait...they closed the plant... Oh well woulda maybe took the same length of time.... Kidding... am looking forward to mine coming in soon...I hope.

Gas/Oil, Renewables and Nuclear power roughly 62% of my state. Nuclear will take on a bigger role in 2022 as well as there are two more plants set to open. If our country wants to get serious - we should invest more in Nuclear energy over the next 25 years.

Just don't build them along fault line, flood zones, fracking zones and coastline. What we need is better battery technology to better store solar and wind energy when it becomes more ubiquitous.

The plan is 10 years. We seem to be in a 5-year purchasing interval with two cars. In 5 more years I’ll replace my 2014 Mazda 3 hatch. Maybe. Nothing’s written in stone.

I may trade out of it this week. We'll see.

I wish I saw this earlier.
So. Let met understand this, in your mind, I bought a gas guzzling SUV because electric cars are better? Ok. Did I buy a boat because property in Wyoming is better? I guess I travel by train because the cost of Pepsi is better?

Wow that explains a lot. I mean the reason I own an Android phone is because Russian whisky is better. That explains a lot of things in my life. You cracked the meaning of my life, I do x because something random in your mind is better. Explains everything.

PS. Just for the record, I am all of the above on the electric front. In some cases we will need to use coal, but I think we should use it as a emergency reserve use only. Nuclear as to be used in major cities because of energy density. Solar and wind when it can be used safely and effectively. Natural gas and thermal in place where none of the above will work. Not much sun in northern usa in dead of winter. I am not a fan of dams, because of the methane pollution and damage to fish runs.

PSS. I plan on keeping mine for 8 to 10 years, maybe longer.

Lol. Mmmkay. Not about to get into an energy debate with someone on a car forum. Just realize that coal doesn't power the majority of where each person lives anymore.
