• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just got my Telluride SX yesterday and love it. I have the gravity Grey and while it looks great, I can already tell by the pollen and the bugs out, it's gonna be a challenge to keep clean.

How often would you wash your car or take it to the car wash?

That gravity grey is an awesome color, but yeah, it's gonna be tough to keep clean. Wash it whenever you want! I'll probably wash mine 3 times a month in the warmer months, less in the winter. When the pollen gets bad I just spray my cars with my hose in the late evening and let them air dry. Since the sun isn't bright at that time of day you get less water spots.

Got a car wash pass that’s 1 mile from my house so I go 3 times a week now for the last few weeks. After I get rid of it I’ll do it once a month or every other. I have a black ex

Just throwing this out, but even "Soft Cloth" washes are really hard on your finish.... Over time you will start to see rub marks and micro abrasions on all the high pressure points that get hit with the cloth "brushes". Hand wash if you can or will, if you want to keep it decent as possible for as long as possible......

Wash it when its dirty...

During the winter I tend to clean it more after the first salting of the roads. Even after the snow is gone and the roads are dry, the first rain will stir up the salt and now its on your car...again!!

Summertime...depends on the weather and the amount of bugs.

Only auto car wash i'll ever use are the "touchless" ones. I dont want anything touching my paint except water, soap and air.

Thanks,
Kevin

This. Living in Vermont, you want car wash that includes underbody wash to get the salt off as often as you can. So, touchless at least twice a month during winter and as needed during summer.

Daily drivers get hand washed weekly, weekend drivers (which the Telluride falls into this category) will get hand washed about once a month. My vehicles are garaged.

That is a lot of washing.

And then they wonder where is the water down south

I use a pressure washer that uses 1.5 gal/min. My water useage for my home is 50% of my allocated budget

Just a little joke! I never understood water problems until I moved from Florida to California. Just trying to be mindful. Over there it rains every day and people still water their lawns every other day..
