• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi all,

I am getting a telluride this weekend. A friend forwarded an article about massive recalls in certain vehicles made by these two brands. I believe the Telluride is not one of these vehicles.
The article mentions the Theta 2 engine possibly being a cause. Or something with the gas line position.

If anyone Has anymore details, could you share? We have a baby on the way and this story just spooked me a little.

Thanks all. This forum has been a huge help.

Yep, I believe so. So the Telluride engine is different from all of these? At least I believe it is.
That’s correct. The theta engine was a smaller 4 cylinder that had design flaws possibly because it was built by committee between Hyundai, Chrysler and Mitsubishi motors.

The lambda II GDI engine in the Telluride is much larger 6 cylinder 3.8L and has proven to be more reliable and fuel efficient.
