• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Time has come now for Hyundai group to step up their game by producing cars which can handle perfectly the way Mercedes or BMW or Audi handles.
Hyundai group has done remarkably well enough in the interior section but still it lacks the driving performance.
Hope Hyundai pays attention to it and works on to produce a complete car like BMW and Mercedes.

I have a 2018 G80. Trust me it got awesome interiors. I have received a 540i from my company and it drives much better than my G80. Though I like the interiors of my G80.
That's what I meant !!

I would hope the 540i drives better than the G80! One should expect as much. The *starting* MSRP on a 540i is currently $59,450 with RWD while the starting MSRP on the G80 is listed at $42,550. And when you add options, the price will skyrocket - esp with BMW. Point is BMW will be significantly more expensive, and is based on a time-tested platform (5-series has been around seemingly forever). You are right - BMW sure provides an amazing driving experience... but Genesis is trying to deliver something close at a lower cost. The Genesis RWD platform is newer... I think it will improve over time.

So true but I am getting it for free ..the company is going to bear all the maintenance and fuel costs.
I would have never bought this money pit 😄

I am getting this feeling that the new generation G80 will drive even better than 540i.
They will surely reduce the weight and minimize body roll.

Yeah, nice to have from the company! I'd take that too! I've seen Hyundai and Kia make great strides during the last decade... I think Hyundai has a good future with Genesis... but the details matter at that price point.

[/QUOTE. I wouldn’t pay 30000 more for it for sure! That’s what I meant!

Chipping paint was on the yellows, no rattling here, fake engine noise can be turned off, and it has comparable numbers performance wise to the 540Xi... you want to continue? You want me to list all the reported problems with the BMW and Merc? My costs are a lot lower and have the 10/100K warranty.

This guy needs to review the slew of awards the Stinger and G70 have received , Sports Sedan of the Year vs BMW , Merc Audi etc ! And the recent preliminary reviews on the GV80 are pretty noteworthy realtive to his uninformed critique , I've also seen some crazy accolades for the new Hyundai N cars too ........................maybe research Albert Bierman ........................previous employer and current role with Hyundai /Kia /Genesis ..............................I'll go first ..........................Troll !

Stinger lol...it got lot of issues ...the rattling, fake engine noise, the chipping paint. It stands no where when compared to a Genesis or a Merc or a BMW.

Ya know what they say about opinions, especially from someone who has zero first hand experience with something.

A bit little behind the times.

The G70 has won just about every major auto award in NA and is still listed as Car & Driver's top entry-level lux model.

While the 3 Series has the better powertrains, the G70 will close the gap w/ the new 2.5T and 3.5TT (still, the in-house 8 spd AT isn't quite as quick to shift as the ZF-sourced trans in BMWs), but the G70 is more tossable, has better steering feel and has the better ride/handling combo (the same can be said for the Stinger - which is essentially a fastback version of the G70).

And then there's the Veloster N (would much rather have gotten the i30N or the i30 Fastback N) - which was Road & Track's 2020 Performance Car of the Year, Cars.com's 2020 Most Fun-to-Drive Car of the Year, Automobile magazine's All-Star, Motorweek's Driver's Choice Award, etc.

There are more N models coming (like the Kona-N), as well as N-Line models (Sonata N-Line).

Mercedes (at least their sedans) haven't exactly been known for their handling; altho MB has improved on that recently, but still, not at the top of their respective segments and the AMG variants are more known for their prodigious power than supreme handling (making them more like the lux version of muscle cars).

Audi (while they have done as much as is possible), there are limitations w/ a FWD layout (even longitudinal) where the weight balance isn't as ideal as a proper RWD layout.

Now, there definitely is room for improvement w/ the G80 and G90 - which currently are more known for being luxo-cruisers, but that'll change w/ the next G80.

The biggest detriment to handling prowess is weight and the current G80 and G90 are heavy (same can be said for MB sedans relative to BMW, Audi and Jag), but the next G80 will be underpinned by a new, lighter-weight RWD platform, as well as using aluminum for certain body panels.

I prefer the Korean brands, especially Genesis, do exactly as they're doing. Genesis is the new Lexus. Lexus dropped the ball and here's Genesis to take over - just like when Cadillac dropped the ball and Lexus took over. How did Cadillac drop the ball? They stopped making cars their customers wanted. Instead, they started making cars BMW drivers wanted. The problem was that BMW drivers didn't want to be seen in a Cadillac. So that was that.

Lexus came right along and scooped up all those traditional American luxury buyers that Cadillac had abandoned. Now Lexus is doing the same thing with stiffer riding cars that Lexus buyers don't want. Welcome to Genesis...

I test drove a GLC and the lower trim on the B pillar came apart (I kid u not)...why would I pay close to $60K for a car that is falling apart & unreliable. My T-ride is super quiet, has lots of power, top of the line tech, fit & finish even surpasses the Germans. I feel I’m in a top of the line GLS Benz every time i drive my SX and paid $30K less.

Kia and Hyundai will certainly beat Toyota in coming future

They are definitely on the right track for sure. Time will tell how the Telluride holds up. I had a 2011 Camry SE V6 that I sold in 2018 with 93k miles.... not one issue ever (only ever oil changes, filters, tires, and a battery... not even brakes needed yet at 93k miles).

I'm sure Toyota and Honda are taking a close look considering the offerings Kia is putting out now.

Hyundai and Kia have finished Nissan.
Honda is very close to match. By 2021 Honda would be lagging behind Hyundai.
So the world will finally see Toyota vs Hyundai.
It's really nice to see how Hyundai has been capturing the market since 2013 when they have started paying attention to their quality.

Absolutely Telluride and Palisade are a value for money considering how German and American cars fall apart.
Chevrolet except the Tahoe have issues with transmission in all their cars.
A time where all American automakers have given up on Sedans, Hyundai is boldly launching more and more sedans keeping in view that the Sedan game is not yet over..
