I’m confused. Was told I was the next to be picked from Kia?

Ok I need clarification from someone more knowledgeable. I have been patient, ordered my sx September 7th. Was told by manager March 10th I am next to be picked (number one) However, I check failcat everyday and today an sx is showing that isn’t mine? I know the black copper sx before that one was a surprise one and was asked if I wanted instead but I want the gray wolf sx ntp dune brown. I’ve waited this long! Does this mean nothing in March is going to be mine?

what is in failcat is probably from an allocation from a few months back. You will most likely be picked up in April when KFOS opens and you will then get a VIN several weeks later. That’s my best guess.

With an ETA date of July 28th, you'll see a vin in July when the car is built and a few weeks late would show up at your dealership.

Failcat hasn't been reliable as of late. I was told my order was picked up/assigned an extra unit to my order in the middle of April. It didn't pop up on Failcat until AFTER it hit the lot on 5/11. I've also noticed through the 9 months I've watched it since ordering that there would be hundreds of missed VINs pretty regularly. You can see that by the jumps in the final 6 digits of the VIN/serial number.

Update. I just saw my vin show up today so glad it’s a 2022.
