If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I paid 10k over MSRP and I don't think I'm dumb, rich, or trying to "show off". Let's discuss as adults (no trolls)

Next time pay me $2,000 in cash and I will locate you a great deal!! 🤝 Forum members....steaks and cocktails on me!
Looking forward to meeting you dude, we think alike.

I see you got your car in NJ. I also ordered my car in NJ for MSRP - incentives, granted I had to wait. Other individuals on this forum have purchased on-the-lot SX-Ps from my same dealership for MSRP - incentives...doing your research would have saved you thousands.
Which NJ dealer?

When are you rolling in?
I'll be there post-haste when you let me know my SX-P White on Dune AWD, Tow, has arrived.

I think it's crazy to pay over MSRP for any vehicle. Heck, the Telluride is the first vehicle I've ever paid sticker price for and still felt like I overpaid.

You paid what you paid because you had to have the vehicle, and your happy, so who cares what other people think.

The depreciation on these vehicles will be evident within a few years. Telluride has been for sale since April of 2019, production has ramped up to 100k, and I now seem them every where on the roads. You're basically stuck with the vehicle unless you want to take a huge loss. That would be my main concern in the future.
We see very few on the road and all dealers within 100 miles have few to none on the lot.

100K is a yearly ramp up but to date, supply hasn't come close to catching up with demand at least in our area.

You are correct, once all dealers have 10-15 SX-P and several others on the lot, price will come down. Based on what I'm seeing, we're not close to that point.

For a while, I was seeing more Urus SUVs on the road than tellurides. today I saw more than any other single day since they came out (~6). After 12 years of driving Jeep Grand Cherokees (which I loved) it is nice not seeing the same vehicle everywhere on the road.

...So my deal was for an SXP with tow package, roof rails, added remote start start, and wheel locks (Moss Green with Dune Brown Interior).
The dealer wanted 10k over MSRP stating "market adjustment" ( we settled for $8500) but I traded in a 2009 Tahoe for the markup and financed the MSRP.
Are there buyers with better deals...I'm sure!!! Do I feel I got a"bad" deal...not at all.
But even though I don't have to...I'd like to hear the responses, comments and questions.

So you gave away your truck. If you weren't comfortable with the deal, you wouldn't have done it.

The very fact you've posted the question suggests buyer's remorse is setting in which can happen even when buying at a discount.
I'm not a psychotherapist but I did stay at holiday Inn Express last night.

Enjoy your new bundle of joy. Just "fuggedaboutit" as they say in NY and don't look back like Lot's wife in the Old Testament.
You can't undo the deal now so "press on" as they say in Texas. Just enjoy all the benefits that it has to offer.

Thanks for the response. I don't think I have buyers remorse ( or maybe I do and am not admitting it to myself) but 8 just wanted to see if anyone saw it and agreed from my perspective. Trust me I knew a post like this would bring out "the best of us" 🤪 on forums but if I really cared or would be bothered by others opinions, I wouldn't have posted such a question. I don't feel I got a bad deal. Do I feel it could have been better, absolutely. Do I recommend such a scenario for every buyer...HELL NOO!!! But it almost seems a lot my my repliers are people who don't got one. But hey I'll say this....would I do it again......

NO

I don’t understand why you paid that much over when there are so many dealers who are not marking up. Unless you live in a area that is all markup. It is kinda cool to be driving a vehicle that is rarely seen on the road at this point. In a year or so we will be seeing many I am sure!
I was looking and waiting for months. I knew I wanted an SXP and nothing less
And I wanted to buy it in 2019 year for tax purposes.

Which NJ dealer?
Sansone Kia in Avenel, NJ. Someone in another thread just walked onto the dealership recently and bought an SX-P for MSRP - incentives. That person spoke to the saleswoman who said they're getting a few more in Feb, along with other trims, all for MSRP - current incentives.
I worked with Tito, nice guy. Manager and Finance woman thought they were the smartest people in the room, but they didn't know I had a wealth of knowledge from this forum (plus I was the smartest guy in the room lol).

You wouldn't post this question or you wouldn't buy a car for $8500 over MSRP again? Lol

Okay, you gave your reasons. I'm just curious - why are you posting about this transaction again in February? You took delivery in December, discussed your transaction then on Dec 29 - a few folks commented. You stated you traded the Tahoe for $10k markup. You noted your overpayment again on January 25.... talking about financing 51k per your prior posts (no mention of the 10k) - paying 3200 over. So why start a new thread now? Now you say it is $8500 over for Tahoe, not 10k? What info do you want / hope to accomplish? Some members on this forum have paid markups. Others haven't. No big deal. I think you take the prize for largest markup (at least admitted) but it does help explain how some dealers can sell at those prices.

Are you going to ask the question again in March to see if you'll get different answers?

When did you order from Muncie? I've got the same one, so wanna make sure we don't think it's both ours if it shows up! haha 😂

Late Dec/early Jan about a week before the price increase. I didn't get floor mats, that might distinguish us.

You are going to see that price increase. Unfortunately placing a order ahead of that does not matter to KIA.

The stickers I see even from last week don't include the price increase. Any idea when the increase will start showing up?

It has already started for units being built after the 1st of the year. Units that were already in process to be built did not get increase.

Nah, I'm good. I got my answer. You are correct I did pose the question previously, but I'm new to this forum and to be honest some members need platform's like this to I guess become or seem to be someone greater. A few gave me their perspectives and provided some information that I did not have before, and some just use the keyboards to feel enlightened. Regardless, I'm good with my purchase. I'm dropping the question. Thanks again.
