You are correct I did pose the question previously, but I'm new to this forum and to be honest some members need platform's like this to I guess become or seem to be someone greater. A few gave me their perspectives and provided some information that I did not have before, and some just use the keyboards to feel enlightened. Regardless, I'm good with my purchase. Late Dec/early Jan about a week before the price increase. I didn't get floor mats, that might distinguish us.

So, I ordered my SXP White/Dune/Tow Package...also no floor mats Nov 25th...Too bad about the price increase but I'll be happy to show you my car if it comes in before yours

I once convinced a former girlfriend back in the day to get one. It was shortly after the initial hype wore off and the prices came down (must have been around 2002 for a 2003 model). She got a good deal purchased new, and it was loaded with heated leather/suede seats. Was actually a pretty awesome vehicle, felt much bigger inside than it looked from the outside.

So guess what happened....LOL
A guy I know who turns out has been a past Kia purchaser saw my ride....to paint the picture it was in his driveway, along with 5 or 6 other guys that were there (this guy is one of those guys whos house the local guys may pull up and "chat" a bit...LOL
...so I broke down all the features and pro's of my ride and my specific reasons why I got the ride....blah, blah, blah...
...and month later he bought a Palisade. Traded in his BMW 5 series, put $5k down....and STILL he doesn't have the top of the line (of his car)...partly b'cuz he cant find the T-RIDE with the trims that we all want.
Anyway, I didn't gloat or laugh ( at least outwardly I hope...LOL) this man put up damn near $10k and still financed $50k....AAANNDDD...it's not the top of the line of his car. His mid level 50k is at the same level of my top SXPT. Please understand...(whoever reads this) I'm not trying to crap on others. What happened here is that ...my purchase INFLUENCED someone else...BUT what we have still has a special-ness and value that is easily overlooked. Especially on forums. But thanks for your reply. I'm still blown away with how you view money... financed, money down, trade in. It does not matter... the bottom dollar of the vehicle, and the amount of finance charges is what you end up paying. You traded away a vehicle worth 8K as if it did not have value because you are happy with the Telly, that is fine. But you still lost that money. I guess it saved you from some finance charges on the mark up that would have been financed. I hope you got GAP!
