  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My sales person send me a email containing an order number for tracking. Is there anything that can be done with an order number? I'm guessing the order number is just saying that my order was accepted?!?

You are stuck in limbo until the dealer tells you it was accepted into KFOS (an order number is from kdealer). Once you get a VIN, it can be tracked.

This is not really true. Once it goes into KFOs it gets a build number which is probably what the salesman gave him. The VIN only comes once production starts. He/She will get an ETA of arrival once the build number is generated. KFOs is a menu option within kdealer for monthly allocation order placement that we use

Apologies for the newb question, but I am still figuring out the lingo. I placed an order on 10/09 and my dealer messaged me on 10/29 that "the build had been accepted and the process had started". Since then I have not really received any updates though. The dealer is saying they don't have any updates, since Kia Manufacturing has been slow to provide updates recently.

I'm just trying to figure out where I am in the process. I was originally told 10-12 weeks (currently at 9 weeks). But based on most of the other's comments regarding recent orders from the same dealership I ordered from... sounds more like 20ish weeks.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
