Installed my custom caliper covers

Got mine put on finally cause the snow is all gone up here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada...

I have have to say... damn it looks good...

HUGE thanks to @KML those pics of the back clip helped me keep my sanity, I just could not figure out how to put those back clips on until I checked your photos (like 3 times)... I would have put them on wrong if not for you.

Pic is not the best, wheels are dirty, but you get the idea :)

I don't suppose you tried them with the 18's before fully putting on the 20's? I'm on the fence about the covers, but i only have 18's.

TIA

Yes I did, I put the wheel on but never drove the vehicle.

Not sure I would risk it, but there is room there, my finger tip fits.

Got it. Thanks for LMK, and the pics. I may just paint or not do anything. $240 seems a little high to test and risk it not fitting. Looks good though. Really makes me regret not going with 20s. Hahahaha.

In Canada we use 2 sets, one for winter and one for Summer, so was cheaper for me to get 18" for the winter.

I guess living in California, you don't need to do that...LOL

In a couple years buy some 20" for looks then decide.

I had my calipers painted with VHT paint. Was going to do it myself but the local tire shop said $50 if you bring your own paint. Take my money! I did Orange to match the halo’s and the paint is Gravity Grey.

What the H-E-double hockey sticks. What shop is this? Please tell me you're in CA, SF Bay Area.

It definitely seems like I'll be going the DIY route. IF I do, I'll try to remember to take pics of process and post before/after pics.

Sorry, other side of the US. I’m in sunny FL. But their price was $100 plus tax, $50 plus tax with your own paint. And it was done in an hour! 😁

That may be my favorite color yet! I have a black/black NFE and this would look awesome!

Looking very nice! Have the same color Gravity Grey EX with chrome trim. I have updated a few things as well. This is one of the things I’ve always been debating to either paint or buy some MGP covers. I’ve finally made my mind and ordered the covers as they can be removed at a later date if I change my mind. Here are a few pictures of the goodies that just arrived. They look very well made and very lightweight too 😎 Hopefully they look great on my Gravity Grey. I do have black wheels. Wanted to keep it blended so I opted for black with the silver logo. If anything looks out of place I will paint them red. Not promoting or anything. MGP has a 22% discount for Mother’s Day. It’s been going on for the last few days not sure if it ends tonight. But anyways I was able to purchase these off another vendor for a whopping $97 after taxes. They arrived 5 days. If anyone is wondering what vendor just let me know and I will private message you. They have them in Red, Yellow or Black as standard. 5F515A82-07C0-47AB-8C95-028050122C66.jpeg742D5B0E-09BB-4F0F-9F54-4184997B14CB.jpeg486650A4-101E-4CFE-A315-4F602EEA36C8.jpeg

I'm sure they will look nice once they are installed. 🔥

I love the yellow on my caliper cover🔥
I think they even stand out even more when i coated my rims black!
That yellow really pops!! My other silver car I did ended painting them Yellow too. How would you review them pros and cons?

If you choose to have K logo is it actually engraved into the caliper or is it just painted on as well as the fake bolts .
I'm considering getting these but will probably repaint them with burn copper from VHT.
And how is the process to install?

Thanks 🤙

Yes if you decide to buy the ones with the K logo that are engraved on it. You will pay a bit more. But they are well worth it. But that's just my personal opinion. I have the yellow covers on mine. And get soo much positive feedback from people on the streets. I posted I few pics of my Telly on this Thread. Check them out when you get a chance.

Here are some more additional pictures hopefully you can see that they are engraved. Like Mybluerose1523 said you can get them engraved or plain. Personally I like the engraving as well!😁
Going to try and install mine later today. Some very nice detailed installation instructions too. I didn’t pay anything extra for the engraving. The price I paid was for everything.2FE11C82-16E7-4FF8-AB9C-B9082BE6C116.jpegE0821D46-BF86-49A6-99E9-8C7683938186.jpegimage.jpgimage.jpgF7FBFD70-BE93-4FCE-A0C4-104A353A87CE.jpegFF7F42D8-9781-4A6B-9E88-4F48C38AA234.jpeg

I love the breakdown on the pics. I hope this helps others. 💯.

Thanks! The kit came with 2 separate instructions. So I just decided to include them here. They also have some videos online which can also help before anyone decides to install them. The only thing I might do is paint the clips black as well so they blend in better. Not that it would matter because I’m sure no one will be able to see them as they sit further back.

I'm sure I'm gonna go with the red ones I would have liked to have burnt copper

Well if you go on the website of MGP caliper covers. I think they will do any color you request for. Not sure if they will charge more for custom paint job. Just a matter of asking.

He can definitely go to their site and custom order whatever color he wants. They will just be more expensive since it’s a custom order. But he should definitely ask and see what they say.

Alright I washed the wife’s car today and while I was at it I washed the Telluride too😎. I then decided to install the covers I ordered. I will try and take better pictures later this week in the sun. But here is a few to keep you entertained. They don’t pop too much which is what I wanted. I do like the logo in silver though. One thing I will say is like others who have installed them. Wish they made the clips fit a little better. Specially the rear ones. Don’t get me wrong the front ones are easy and seemed very loose at first but once you add the cover it’s the perfect thickness that it makes it a tight fit and you just tighten down the nut. As for the rear ones like others have said you have to push hard until they clip. Maybe my pictures will help and explain what I am trying to tell.4E01B27D-9FDB-470C-9BDB-57B5DE745EC8.webpD85297C2-AB69-4D31-83CC-8C7372138B93.webp38F8EA91-732D-4617-93DE-07A6F879D817.webpB7A4902D-8396-4A8E-A00C-3DA196E11659.webpEB75A470-4A65-4468-AFAC-BCDA1FD2B8F2.webp166B6F9B-B7C3-44CC-A06B-809518033D4D.webp5EE0290D-C680-4B1F-86E5-3665101C01B7.webp7CE75E90-5ABF-4654-971D-C31AE2F194BE.webp45BD31FC-36D9-4B0E-8397-11A68FB03582.webp3A3B4E95-38E3-4252-9B92-87F5DD79DB91.webp
