Installed Proximity Door Lock/Unlock Module

Double check all connections for tightness and correct wiring.

2 leds on implies you have the correct pos & neg connections - as long as leds are on with vehicle in off state. (i.e. prox module needs to be wired to always hot).

Stupid question, but is everything plugged back in? Everything you unplugged to get to everything….

Also, check all your connections with whatever method you used to tap into the correct wires? When i installed mine, ir worked walking away/locking, but nothing as i approached. Mirrors didnt unfold and doors didnt unlock. Ended up being the posi-connector wasnt making good contact with wire thru the plastic wire covers.

lastly, double check the wires to ensure u tapped the correct wires…
thx drew just recheck the posi connector & it’s was not connected..reconnected & works like a charm..thx for response bud👍

Awesome!!! I know the feeling. was doing mine and it wasnt working and i started freaking out and was like why does this crap work for everyone else, but i can never get it working!!! Just had to take a breath and recheck it all. Un-did it all and started fresh step by step again. After taking it all off i noticed the connector didnt break thru the wire covering/shell on the blue wire. Adjusted it a little and put it all together again. Worked like a charm!

I’ve have my proximity module installed since Jan, and just this week, the lock on walk away has stopped working? The unlock on approach is still working.

Any old timers with the module had that happen? Trying to figure out what I can do to restore full functionality?

Id start by just looking at it again. Still two green lights? With saying one still works, would lead me to check the connections as one may have just come loose over time.

That function can be turned on and off by clicking the trunk button on the fob 4 times in a row. The locks on the car should unlock as a sign the setting changed. Give that a shot.

FWIW - Mine's only 3 clicks of the trunk button... that seems to reset the device also.

Thank you kind sir. That solved it.

So I've had this proximity sensor mod for about 1 month. Works great however it has auto locked with the keys inside twice. Sometimes we leave the keys in the car inside the garage. Ive usually leave the keys in the cup holder. Not sure why this happens. Has anybody else experienced this?
Thank you to everyone for their helpful info on this great mod. Rob

Anyone get the isg module working? If so which item from the drop down did you choose while ordering?

Likely this unit.

Yeah thats what I found, I pulled this up on my computer and it was easier to read through. I do see we had at least 1 successful install on the ISG. Looks like its the palisade module. The info states this is under the center console. Anyone have a photo of where exactly the harness is? Debating ordering the prox and ISG to have it when we receive our telly. Just gonna knock out a bunch of mods in the first couple days and trying to be prepared.

weird stuff for us:
If I leave the rear hatch open for an extended time, shutting it locks the doors WITH KEY INSIDE. (kinda like the warning on install instructions) using the spare key unlocks this. I can't make it do this all the time, just when I don't expect it...
ALSO: So we were parked at the gas pump, and I went inside. My wife locks the doors while she waits in the car. Then I come out and she decides to go inside. So she unlocks her door by just pulling the passenger lever and gets out, shuts the door as I walk up. KEY IS IN MY POCKET, THE VEHICLE IS MOTOR RUNNING. (AC ya know...)
I try to open drivers door, LOCKED. Back passenger door, LOCKED. Push the unlock on the key, NOTHING. push the lock button, NOTHING.
REMEMBER, THE MOTOR IS RUNNING, THE DOORS ARE LOCKED, MY WIFE IS IN THE RESTROOM, AND I'M THINKING AAA FOR A DOOR UNLOCK!
I finally went around to the front passenger door, and it responded and unlocked.
WHY? I don't know.
I ain't skeered enuf to remove the device, but I won't let that happen again!

Palisade module is what I bought and works with different wiring connection. B-CAN H L goes to MF11-62 and 63. I will write up a full instruction if there are enough interests.

(I put this in the beggining of the thread to share weird stuff for us)(and pre-answer some things...)

Did you press the unlock button on the fob before opening the trunk? Doing so will auto lock the doors in 30 seconds if none of the passenger/driver doors are open. The trunk can open irrespective of the door lock/unlock setting. As long as you have the fob on you. (ie. if doors are locked, open and close trunk, put fob in house, all doors and trunk should still be locked.)

This is annoying indeed, but also normal behavior. If the car is running, the exterior lock buttons and remote fob is inactive. Lets say you were sitting in your car with the fob and a criminal wants to use the exterior button to unlock your door and carjack. If the close proximity of the fob from your pocket while sitting in the driver‘s seat allowed unlocking from outside, this would spell trouble. I don’t believe the RFID receiver in the car is capable of discerning the fob is inside or outside the car, only within detection range.

Not entirely sure what the logic is for disabling the fob function with the car running. But probably to deter owners from leaving their cars running and leaving it unattended for long periods. Same reasoning for the 10 minute remote start timer.

Gotcha. Just that this never happened before the install... Thanks for the insights!
