• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... How do you tell if the Telluride is an SUV or CUV? I was told that if it's body on frame then it's an SUV. Is that right? Is the BMW X5 body on frame? I'm confused about all of this so anyone who can help please do.

I don't know about how they're defined but I'm pretty sure the Telluride isn't body on frame.

BoF SUV's are a rarity nowadays. The ones still in production that I can think of are Toyota 4runner, Lexus GX, Lexus LX, Jeep Wrangler, Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Ford Expedition.

Pretty much all other SUV (or whatever they're called) on the road are unibodies.

Yes, crossover utility vehicle. It's not a true SUV if it's not body on frame. At least that's how it's been explained to me...
