• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Friends ’21 telluride:
- 1600 miles on car
- press gas rpms rise but no acceleration
- odd air intake sound when gas is pressed

lmk, he’s going XC and has no idea about cars. And, I have no idea how the tranny could be slipping at 1600 miles.

Thanks

Doesn’t seem like it’s mechanically slipping (although it’s possible just not probable). I would say it’s an electrical issue that needs to be diagnosed by a dealer.

Is the car actually in gear? When you shift into drive or reverse, the car will creep forward or backward, respectively, if your foot is off the brake. If the car isn't doing that, you've got some sort of an issue.
