Is this a protective film to be removed?

New 2022 Telluride and wondering what this notch in the upper right corner of the navigation screen is all about? Is this a protective film that is supposed to be peeled off or something else?

I am going to say yes. You can make out the rough edges of the plastic all the way around the edges. The dealer probably forgot to peel it off during PDI. I had plastic film on my interior lights.
