• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Is waving to another telluride owner weird?

Also the other day as I was showing the car to my brother in law a lady in a white S stopped to say hi and asked how I was liking the telluride and to share how much she loves hers. So it seems like most owners are excited to see fellow owners! Curious how long that will last as more of these get out on the roads.

I honked and nodded as I passed a Moss Limited in my Black SX............... got nothing but a weird look back :/

Naw, showing the love binds the souls of Telluride owners! ❤

Yes, it seems to have quite a cult appeal. Maybe due it’s exclusivity at the moment. Hopefully that develops into a huge accessories aftermarket for the KT.

I don't have mine yet, but have seen a couple while in my Stinger.. I gave them a thumbs up as I was blowing their doors off :)

Original plan was for me to get a stinger and my wife to get the telluride. She just didn’t like driving something that big so lo and behold I drive the bigger family hauler and we are holding onto her Subaru forester for longer. Someday I will get back to a sports car.

That is our plan. The wife has test driven the Telluride and it doesn't seem like it's any bigger to her than our 16 Sorento, so she's all good with it.

As I was driving around today I saw a woman driving a black SX and was excited to see another telluride owner and waved. Felt like such a dork. But she did wave back. Lol.
I have not seen another one on the road except on Labor Day weekend, so I think it might have been someone from out of the area, since I have not seen it again. The closest dealer that even has one is over 80 miles away. I do get a lot of looks and smiles.

I wave or flash lights the handful of times I have seen another 'Ride in the wild. Every time they were aware of me and responded in kind... but then again there is no mistaking the amber running lights. Damn I love driving a car that is so "rare", at least for a little while.

I think this is fairly common with unique vehicles as well as "cult" types of vehicles. My 2 primary drivers are currently a Ford Flex (unique) and Jeep Wrangler ("Cult" following). With the Wrangler, it is actually a "thing" and somewhat expected that you will give and receive a "Jeep Wave", which is generally a few fingers lifting from the top of the steering wheel or if a hand is out the window a quick lift of the hand. I don't believe most of the soccer moms driving Jeep Wrangler Unlimiteds understand this yet.

With the Flex, I would say that there is about a 50% take on the waves. I can see that most of the Flex owner's, even if they don't wave do take notice of another one on the road.

Why not wave, it spreads some sort of good in the world. It may just make someones day to get a wave and a smile. I saw a guy with an JDM Nissan R32 (Early GTR), which is now just legal to import into the US (25 year rule). I gave him a wave and a big thumbs up. It is not often that you see a right drive car in the US.

More than 45 years ago, my dad used to own a little yellow Subaru sedan. Whenever he saw another driver driving the same Subaru sedan on the road, they would flash the headlights or wave at each other.

We need a telluride specific wave like jeep and Harley has 🙂
I think the Harley wave has really just become a motorcycle wave. I have to admit that when I am behind a motorcycle and another is coming towards and you see them both hold their arm down, out and to the side, it looks really good. I always imaging them "low fiving" each other as they pass :)

This is funny..... I do the same! I am so happy with mine I wave to other telluride owners. Reminds me of the corvette wave years ago. This vehicle is just special. You get a special feeling driving it .... I know I’m crazy. Northern Indiana

I went to the hardware store today to pick up some lumber. When I got to the counter to check out, there were a number of guys looking out the door wondering if ‘that was a new Ford Explorer or what…’ ‘Great wheels’, ‘they really stand out’, ‘what a great color…’ ‘what do you think that is…?’ I asked if they were looking at the green vehicle? They said yeah, I said it was my Kia Telluride. ‘Telluride?!’ ‘Kia???’ YepI ‘Didn’t know they made a car like that.’ More Wow’s… 'You're not going to put that in there are you?'

I had to smile.
