• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... When towing our Lance 16 foot camper the ISG intermittently flashes yellow. This will happen even if the ISG is turned off. Though I haven't documented when it exactly happens but it appears to start flashing when going up a grade and the transmission is in a lower gear. Going downhill or flat (less engine strain) it seems to be less frequent. The Telly tows beautifully and I have towed the camper 100's of miles. There no other symptoms. The flashing is not annoying during the day but at night it can be, particularly when it goes on and off at random. And why would it continue to happen when it's turned off?

HI Rocketdog-
I am researching the same A light coming on and off at random. I just bought a 2022 EX AWD and have already had the Transmission Oil Pump fail, with less than 200 miles. Not sure if ISG and engine check from failed oil pump are connected. Driving home from the replacement the A light came on again. I don't use the auto stop since it has a lag and lurch when using. Now asking about this issue with service. will let you know what I find

Blinking yellow A indicates ISG malfunction, system error.

See my post of 4/2/2021 "Turns On but Engine Will Not Start". Kia had it towed to dealer and some "open resistor" to the transmission oil pump was the error and they replaced the ICU. I had a "possessed" ISG prior. In my limited research of the ISG in the manual it searches through several parameters to see if it should shut the engine off. If any of those don't meet its criteria it doesn't do it. I'm thinking (hoping?) because I'm towing and usually in a gear lower than high it senses something. Most times its off. The frustrating thing is that I can manually turn the system off with the console button, but the light will still start flashing anyway. Let me know what you hear.
