  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just picked up a 21 with 31k miles on it. Took a light hit to the front so I'll have to repair the unit. Doesn't seem to be too bad, mainly grill, bumper etc etc. I'll be posting a build thread covering the damage, repair costs etc. I've done several cars from auction in the past so looking forward to getting this one done and on the road!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on the Telluride! This sounds like a really interesting project. Please do keep us posted! I'm glad you found us...

It’s going to be nice to see the progress. Post some pics of how it sits now. Also would you mind sharing how much you paid at auction. Total cost not including the repairs needed.

Sure it's a 21 EX with 31k miles. All white with black trim. Seems to have a few upgrades as well. Took a hit in the passenger front so may need to replace some cooling items. Will need airbag, front bumper grill and other misc internal parts like crash bar, but won't require much painting as I believe I can save the hood and the fender didn't get hit.. Costs with all fees and tax is just over 17k. I typically find most parts locally and just switch over the easy stuff like bumper, grill and if it needs any paint / body work I have a guy. I should be able to get it up and running for under 20k total. front.webpmain.webp

Maybe someone here can help do they normally come with all black grills? Noticed the ones at the local yard are chromed and can't seem to find one that's all black?

Looks like a Nightfall edition. You swung a super deal!

Ohh sweet I really liked how it had AWD wasn't even aware of a specific edition. It's primarily going to be the wife's daily and coming from AWD audi she really wanted something with AWD.

Absolutely nice deal at 17k! Definitely a nightfall edition. Doesn’t look that bad at all. Any pictures of it with the hood open to see how bad the rest is? Maybe that might be a little issue with finding parts. If not you can just paint them black.

Not much damage to see under the hood as most of it was front and lower. I didn't take pics yet, but will next week. Since your socal 949 if you want you can check it out in person I'm also "SoCal 949". It basically goes to my buddies shop in LA since I don't have a place to work on it at home and then I just buy parts and work on it at his shop. I was able to source the right grill, but will have to have it shipped. I can usually find parts in LA since they have over 100 junk yards with parts to choose from, but no one had the night fall grill locally. Everything else has already been sourced and the repair should only take a week or 2 at most.

I actually have a spare night fall grill. Was going to say if you wanted for a good price. I also have the lower plastic grills too. Let me know and yes I am in SoCal. Private message so I can give you my number to make it easier to get in touch.

Awesome catch for 17k!

I grabbed ‘21 SX. I’ve got just under 20k for it to sit it my yard and we’re talking impact bar forward minus headlights and camera. Dash, windshield and three air bags too.

You doing a build thread on it? I need to get some pics of mine up soon...
