Did they give you a time frame on how many months it’ll take for it to come in? That’s super frustrating that they won’t tell you how many people are ahead of you. On failcat it looks like that dealer gets 15-20 tellurides a monthMy salesman doesn't even seem to know what KFOS is. I asked him if the order has been accepted yet and he says it's usually a month or so before they get an ETA. So I went to the dealership and asked someone else, and they wouldn't tell me their allocation or how many orders were ahead of me. Instead they just said they never have a problem getting all of their orders in. Okay great, then why didn't my order get into the September KFOS window? Very frustrating when I seem to know more about the process than they do! KIA Ferguson in Broken Arrow, OK.
When I initially ordered, yes, they gave me a 16-25 week timeframe, and I admit I'm only 4 weeks into that. I'm excited, though, and just want to know where I am in the process. I do see their volumes on Failcat and that's encouraging because it's not like they're doing 2-3 cars a month...so I'm hopeful it will be more towards the 16 week estimate. Just don't want to drive by there all the time, avoid my salesman, and try to find people who can actually tell me where I really stand.Did they give you a time frame on how many months it’ll take for it to come in? I had Kia Ferguson in Broken Arrow,OK. Was told it wood be 6 months. I waited, talked with my Sales person every now and then. Six months later my ELS SX AWD N/P was delivered at MSRP, with no B/S. I'm very happy with this deliver ship. You just gota WAIT!!!My salesman doesn't even seem to know what KFOS is. Kia provides an estimated ETA when all vehicles have been accepted int KFOS and processed. If you read more of the threads, the VIN gets created when the vehicle goes into paint. Depending on where you are, that could be 3 weeks to 6 weeks before the ETA. The average seems to be about a month. The dealer will have the VIN before it shows up in failcat.
There's quite a bit of variability in the process. My order appeared in failcat on 7/5, despite not being picked up in June KFOS. My car got delivered 8/10, even though someone at the same dealership who ordered the day after me is getting theirs in late Oct.My order was picked up this month and I have an ETA of 10/15. It seems strange that some people on here got picked up in August but got ETAs in October and November but my September pickup has an ETA of mid October. I wonder if small volume dealers have shorter lead times. Oh well, just happy I have some movement!
I’d be prepared for those dates to be pushed back. My July KFOS was Sept ETA now Oct 14. Sounds like the plant shut down a couple days.My order was picked up this month and I have an ETA of 10/15. Strange, mine is an SX AWD with no options which is also rare. That might not matter though since they are built to order. I'm sure there is some reason for the vast differences in ETAs... Oh well, guess I'll just be sitting here refreshing failcat like a crazy person...My order was picked up this month, eta is 11/27. It’s an EX with no options which seem to be produced less.
good to know, i ordered from them on the first of july..I had Kia Ferguson in Broken Arrow,OK. Was told it wood be 6 months. I waited, talked with my Sales person every now and then. Because it's not something the salesman needs to know, typically only one sales manager works with that system. The orders get put in as a dealer request and automatically go to a fulfilled status if a matching allocation opens. If your order is an SX, and they get 9 EX allocations and 1 SX for that month and there is 3 SX in front of you yours won't get in that month for example. My salesman doesn't even seem to know what KFOS is.
