If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I put in an online credit application with Kia Motors Finance last week. After it was completed it said “Your application is being reviewed and we will notify you at the email address you provided.” I have yet to receive an email or hear anything from Kia. I tried calling two different numbers and both times they said they couldn’t give me that information and I would have to contact my dealer. Does anyone know who I can contact to get the finalized credit application so I can bring it to any dealer I choose? Thanks

When I applied at the dealer, it's was almost instant. I would understand if you are bringing 3rd party load, but If you are using KMF why are you applying online instead of at the dealer?

I agree with @jazzyone - approval was almost instant. I would save my time - pick my dealer and just apply there.

The reason I applied online is because no dealerships in my area have the telluride that I want. I want to get the approval before I traveled a couple hours to a dealership that has one.

As always it depends on your credit, but automakers aren't in the business of trying to make their money off loans. They are judged by how many cars leave the lot, therefore I would assume they tend to be more lenient. I know for BMW Finance, you could pass with a 500 credit so long as you had enough down and high income.

did you ever get an answer to this? We did the same and still waiting on an answer.

I ended up going to a Kia dealership and they had me fill out a new application. They were able to get the approval instantly at the dealership.

Did anyone get a reply to their credit app? I attempted this and called a local Kia dealer but they were not able to find my application and they ended up selling the Kia I was looking to buy.

You should never fill out the credit app until you have an agreed price and perhaps a deposit to purchase a vehicle. Usually, credit can be arranged at the time of sale.

So what, I completed credit app on Kia site just to skip that paperwork at the dealership. I presumed it would be much easier to knock that out at home, I already have the OTP from a few local lots and loan payments with the amount I will put down...

Yes fine, but only fill it out when told to fill it out for the purchase of a specific vehicle that you are buying. The dealer has to be looking for the credit app to run it for approval and find financing - if you don't bring your own. I got suckered in once filling it out prior to having an agreement on a specific vehicle. Point is, you should be able to lock down the vehicle you want first before completing the credit app - assuming your score is above 720.

I had the same thing happen. Dealers are telling me they cannot see where I applied online but it dinged a hard hit on my credit right after I applied.
