• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I came to service my 2022 telluride today as the rear self leveling suspensions are making noise again. I got them replaced through warranty few months ago but they seem to be noisy again. Made an appointment to Mcgrath Kia, where I got them replaced initially, and to my surprise they stated since it's a diagnostic service, I need to leave the car for 48hrs. Is that normal? They mentioned this is the same policy for all other dealerships. They don't offer loaner cars but he said I can get a rental for $50/day. Seems unusual given initially I got it serviced here same day...

I've worked at 4 dealerships. as a technician, shop foreman and service manager. Most usually the "Policy" is that of the individual dealership. The manufacturer sets "guidelines" that each dealer must follow. However. often many dealers will tell you that XX or YY is policy, when in fact, it's their policy. Then the satisfaction rating slips (3rd. party survey) the service manager gets replaced and viola', what was policy, no longer is.

There are many dealers that will not give out loaners to clients that bought the vehicle at another dealership. Then there are others that offer them to every customer.
"So there goes your proof." (Joe Jackson)
Just amazing eh?
