• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi Folks,
I saw quite a few discussions about OEM vs 3rd party cross bars and the conversations shifted in different ways due to lack of availability, Canadians ordering from eBay USA, OEM making too much noise, people fitting non-Telluride ones... and got lost :)

Dealer in Markham called and I might have an SXL coming finally (wrong colour, both external and internal, some long story to add to the other excuses, etc.). I asked if they now have official cross bars as they had none back in May. He said - not yet. Suggested I check Thulle - nothing there under Telluride (yet).

Just got another call from their Parts department he said I can Build a Telluride on Kia.ca you can now select one. Well, I could not, nor could he.

Another call a few minutes ago - go to Kia Canada - cars.telluride.accessories.all and scroll to the bottom.

OK, yes, there is indeed now "Cross Bars, MSRP - $854.99 CAD" posted and View Details shows nothing more than just a bigger version of the picture - I can't see what those are. "Genuine Kia parts" made by Thule?

Compared to the cross bars people mentioned on Kia.com at $310 USD (around 405 CAD) - Do I get a set of two here (JK) or those are gold plated, free run, or something happened to CAD/USD when they were pricing them?

Should I try to get the price to something more meaningful or those are noisy and the Sorento or RhinoRack ones mentioned in the forums are the way to go? What's the final consensus?

Any specs on how much one can carry with those? The standard 165 lb that all Thule ones I've had so far in the past could do?

Thanks!
