• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2020 Kia telluride with 157000 km. Dealer said it has oil consumption and 3 of the cylinders are damaged. So they said my vehicle is only worth $25000 and that they are going to rebuild it and that my Kia motor is a long block and that they want to replace it with a small block?? Is it me or are they crazy

A short block is the engine block and rotating assembly (crank, pistons, etc). A long block is a short block plus additional stuff like cylinder heads, valves, etc. So it sounds like they want to use some of your existing engine components in the rebuild. Not necessarily crazy; IMO better if you hold out for a rebuild starting with a long block, but I don’t know how much leverage you have with the dealer.

No everything will be new on the block
