• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... KMMG Extends Plant Shut Down Until April 24th

Can anyone confirm if the Georgia plant opened back up today?

Thinking yes, they were open last week to manufacture face masks, so employees are already back, it's just a matter if they have started manufacturing cars again.

Update: found a public facebook post from someone who works at KMMG memo they received on April 30 through their employee app. They are running 1-shift a day until they can ramp up to full production again.

Update on Work schedule for KMMG, I’m not sure how suppliers will follow this schedule so please do not go off of this if you do not work at Kia! Per my understanding Kia will rotate what shift works on what week Ex: On Monday May 4th only B shift (1st shift) will be assigned work that week all other shifts will NOT work but WILL continue to get unemployment, Shifts will be assigned each week until we can run At full operational level C-Shift will be scheduled for the week of May 11th all shifts will be first shift 6:30a-2:45p!

Haven't heard anything yet. Don't see a reason (other that the obvious one) why they wouldn't. Will post i we hear anything here in GA. SO many people were out-and-about yesterday and Saturday, it was SCARY. If people don't behave we'll be in lockdown again. Malls are opening, but stores (like Apple) inside the malls have no plans to pe-open anytime soon. Did see a long line yesterday of people waiting in line to buy some new air jordan sneakers. That I though was ridiculous.

Every single test measuring anti-bodies have confirmed that the spread of COVID-19 is far greater than anyone thought. While that confirms that it is far more contagious than anyone thought - it is actually a good thing. Natural anti-bodies are far better than a vaccine. Plus - it shows that the mortality rate is similar to the flu and that most people that have succumbed to COVID-19 had other underlying health issues. So while we still need to be careful - we don't need to be scared. Most people that have had COVID-19 didn't know they had it and never exhibited symptoms.

Well I guess this is better than nothing and is completely understandable. Hopefully they'll be able to (safely) ramp up to full production soon!

I don't want to veer off too far in this, but I feel we are way to early in this pandemic to be making this call. I definitely don't feel people should be terrified of this, but people definitely should be careful and respect this for what it is, a new virus that we have yet to create a vaccine for. Science hasn't shown that once you've caught this, you are immune to it, so I'm not sure where you are finding that natural anti-bodies are being created once you've caught it. I've seen several scientific studies showing the complete opposite, that you can catch it again if you've already caught it. Lastly, the most dangerous part about this disease is your last sentence, asymptomatic carries. Just because young healthy people with no underlying diseases aren't getting sick, doesn't mean this will easily be passed off (as you stated in your first sentence) to the elderly population, who almost the majority (at least where I live here in tobacco country, NC/SE US) have underlying conditions. I'm not willing to go about my normal daily life at the risk of potentially killing my grandparents, or anyones for that matter. Anyways, I honestly don't want to steer this convo too far off of this intended thread, so I probably won't continue it on here, but would be happy to discuss further through PM or on the actual COVID thread portion of this forum!

The VINs in the 26000 range are from June 2019. Have a look at my Google sheets.

The newest VINs from the 90000 range are from the end of March 2020 just before the COVID-19 shutdown.

This is very useful, thanks! Do you know how often this is refreshed or when the next update to the spreadsheet will be? Thx!

I’m incredibly curious to see how fast they’ll be pumping new vehicles out with this new schedule. I’m hoping the supply chain picks back up soon (in a safe manor of course). Any dealers have any updates on whether their scheduled deliveries for this month and June are being adjusted at all time frame wise?

Rest assured, ramping up of production and then delivery will be very slow due to many different factors.

New VINS are up today :)

Oh snap!! I’ll have to try and find that tool that was posted, but how many are we talking??

Extremely low. Normally they were around 200 or so if my memory serves me.
Gotcha, I figured it would be lower compared to before, just didn’t know by how much.

Production is finally starting!!! Good news...now if KIA can get busy and release information on the 2021 Telluride.

Sweet, now if they can just get to mine on that assembly line! Just sold one of our cars today we were planning on trading to the Telluride, COVID delay let me test the marketplace and I got $2,000 more than what our trade offer was through a private deal!

That’s awesome! My X3 is sitting in the garage, trying to ensure nothing happens to it before I trade it in when my Telly arrives (hopefully) early June. Please get mine on the production line soon Kia!

Let me tell you guys, my Telluride cannot get here fast enough! Posted in the BMW forums that I’m trading in my X3 for a Telluride (after having mentioned that my X3 needs new brakes a month or two ago), and these are just a few of the replies I got! I’m completely done with the “luxury” car life. Never again.
