If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I heard this is the last week for orders to be filled on the '23 model. I'm guessing it depends on your allocation also because if the dealer only get 3/month, they likely already have 15 orders in queue. Can anyone confirm this is it for '23 model orders?

Based on the last model years, the transition is generally August or September if I recall correctly.

Which means this is it, right? They would have to finish out these orders and start producing '24 for them to start appearing at dealerships in Aug.

The switchover happens in Aug/September time frame. 23's will be built until then.
I looked back and the switch happened in September last year.

I seem to recall the 23's came out later than most other manufactures' hitting the dealers in November which would coincide with a switchover in Aug/September

You can't go by last year because '23 was a refresh. If you look back at '22 - the '22 started being built in early June. Since '24 will only have a few changes, I would think '24's will start rolling out in early June.

Easy way to find out and end the speculation- Hey @StephenCantrelle , when does production of 24's start?

Nothing official from Kia as of today. July is supposed to be start of 2024 production.

I started the post because I was told this week was the end of orders from two dealerships one of which "appeared" to read an email he just received earlier that day (last week). I had another dealership say the same thing as a note, not as a confirmation to what the other dealer said because I didn't mention another dealer told me that information. I was asking here to see if any official dealership members could confirm in an "unofficial" way that this is the case. Some other consumers may have also heard this information from the dealers they spoke to which is why I made the post, to solicit confirmation.

I did notice yesterday on the Kia's Owners Portal, if you go to view manuals and select Telluride, the 2024 year now appears. It says no manuals are yet available, but they didn't do this for 23 until just posting the documents, so I suppose something could be on the near horizon... An announcement, at least.

I just went in our internal side to order 2023 Telluride and option is not available. So could be truth to what you heard. I also noticed not showing for the K5 as well. I haven't seen a memo yet from Kia on my end.

I guess the “Selluride” thing is still happening

I'm not familiar with how things went last year with the switchover, just that people were contacted at some point to switch their order from 22 to 23. Is this going to be a problem again for this year?

I ordered on 4/3 so I'm just wondering if I'll still be getting a 23 or if I'm going to be told to switch to 24 and that I'll have to wait longer.

Depends on how many allocations your dealership gets per month and what number you on on the list.

I was just called today and told that my order won't be filled with a '23 but would be filled with a '24 model. But no estimate on timing. I had actually ordered my own Telluride two weeks after I ordered my wife's. Got the fever. She got hers close to 3 weeks ago and so I was excited to see the caller ID.... but now, I continue to wait for who knows how long.

Well I will be a test case. Just placed an order today (May 16) for a new Telly. Been a half-assed contributor here for the past year (I own a '22 Sorento), and decided today that lead times are MUCH better now than a year ago ..... so ........... you can't take it with you!

I placed my order Feb 7th. Sent to Kia in March with a June 19 ETA; modified to June 28 ETA and 10 days ago moved up to May 30; so you may be right in that lead times might be getting better. Good luck.

We placed an order in January 2023 from Vanguard Kia in Arlington, TX. I have called them every month since and get no update whatsoever. Very disappointing. Beginning to think we should go back to our original choice of a Lexus.

Call @Lucas & Craig at Kia of Muncie!! They are amazing.

I’m leaving my RX for the Telluride. The RX is very nice but for what we need/want, it’s time to move on.
