Latest information on Ordering System(Kdealer/KFOS) starting Sept 2020

Looks like you ordered the exact spec as me....great taste in vehicles!
I ordered a very similar SXP GG/Gray, tow AWD on 4/5 and have not heard a peep from anybody. Told it could be a 5 month wait.

Ask stepen in the track my vehicle thread. Give him your initials. Based on your date of delivery, the odds are very high that it is not your vehicle.
I sent him the info. I guess it’s possible that someone else placed the exact order.

Right, if the order wasn’t picked up in April (which it probably wasn’t) then you’ll likely be waiting until September.

@StephenCantrelle are you able to see info on whether or not an order has even been processed yet? I ordered back on 4/16 and been checking Failcat daily and I know I’m probably just being impatient... :)

I can not unfortunately

New here 👋🏻 We put an order in ($1000 deposit) on 4/23/21 for a SXP AWD Everlasting Silver/Dune brown int., illuminated scuff plates. I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about ordering this vehicle, so I’ve been a little nervous which is why I am posting here, to hopefully put my mind at ease.
When we ordered, the dealer was very transparent re: the 2022 transition period and that we may be looking at a 2022 model depending on allocations etc. this next month or so (I’m totally ok with that, other than the additional wait time it will cause), although during that conversation, it was prior to me reading these threads and it sounded like the dealer was speaking a different language (allotments, Kia ordering system, etc etc). We left placing the order anyway as I am willing to wait a few months.
we left however, with a simple receipt showing the $1000 transaction but that was it, no order proof that the specific model/trim was ordered. With the knowledge from here that I have since learned, I called the manager yesterday and asked for a printout showing that our order was placed in the dealer system. He was impressed that I knew the jargon I now know from this forum lol and was happy to send over what looks like an order. I am attaching that for someone to review to make sure everything is accurate in terms of trim etc. and that this form does actually mean that the order is in the dealer system waiting pick up from KFOS. I also spoke to him about hearing that if my car was not accepted in KFOS by mid April that I would not be getting a 2021. He stated that is untrue, that 2022 builds will not be happening until mid June and he has 2 more allotments before then- he seems very knowledgeable and I’ve read great reviews of him specifically on this forum, but this is contrary to everything I’ve read on this forum about the 2022 transition, maybe someone can help clarify?
Also I asked his allotments, to which he stated they don’t know until KFOS opens up (which from what Ive read, I think is accurate?), and there are 12 other SXs ahead of me- looks like I won’t see my Telly for a loooong time 😩088B7271-A14C-45A0-BCF8-327483E5BE33.webp

Other reputable salespeople have already stated April was the last KFOS opening that would be '21. My order was picked up by KFOS in April and has an ETA early June (meaning late May build). If you follow this same logic May orders will have a late June build with July delivery and June orders will have late July build with August delivery.

I am wondering if you salesman is honestly confused. Even he is saying '22 builds start late June which would signify May KFOS orders and matches what you have seen/read on the forums.

Looks good. Use this link to double check

I put in a $1000 deposit on 4/19 and this is what the sales person sent me. What does it really mean? She said my order was the last one they put in???Telluride_order_IMG_5345.webp

That’s the entry into KDealer. Based on the date you’ll most likely get a 2022 because you ordered after the last KFOS period.

That is the dealer request sheet. It shows they put your order into KDealer and you are now in a queue waiting for your order to get transferred into KFOS(where you will be given your initial ETA)

The dealer your order is with is a low volume dealer compared to Nations average. It is very important to find out how many other orders are in front of you with an SX AWD build.

If more than 2(for this store) you may be in for quite the wait. Did they quote you a time frame?

They have had 3 SX AWD's built all year

This just means the dealer has your order. Next step would be the Kia factory getting the order via KFOS. Each Kia dealer has a quota of Telly's they can enter every month into KFOS.

Does anyone know when the KFOS period will open up this month?

Starts on the 5th(dealers told what we earned) the10th we gets orders accepted and given ETA's on the 12th-13th.

So if they are open this month for Tellurides we need to be get a update on what is new for 2022's.... Still nothing official.
If no word KFOS will be open for our other Vehicles and they might do a separate KFOS for Tellurides later this month

So, if I placed an order on 5/17 and my dealership said it was accepted by Kia, does that mean I'm in KFOS already? Or did I get in to late this month and will need to wait until next month. Dealership is IL064 ~10-20/mo

If you placed your order then you’re definitely not in KFOS. You’re likely in their “in house” system, waiting to be picked up.

Thanks for the reply. So to pick up in KFOS, is it a rolling pick up daily? Does Kia only pick up orders for a few weeks out of the month? I know its tricky now due to the MY switch over, but just looking to gauge average timing since I see some members getting VIN and ETA within 2 weeks - 6 months after their order is PLACED. Again, appreciate the knowledge share.

There's a lot of information that can be searched up in this thread and on the forum about it. StephenCantrelle has explained a lot of the details about allotments and KFOS pick ups.

At its core, you need to know what position you are on your dealer's waitlist. If you're #3 on a waitlist versus #30 at a dealer that gets 10 per month, you're obviously going to waiting different amounts of time.
