Say I earned 8 Telluride SX AWD.... and I have 20 people waiting in line for a custom order SX AWD... Then I know based on first order in first order out.. which 8 people will get "filled" this month and get initial ETA's.can you define "earnings?" . Once the dealer is aware of "earnings" then what happens typically?
If you earned 8, do all 8 go to fill custom orders or does the dealer typically order some for inventory?Say I earned 8 Telluride SX AWD.... and I have 20 people waiting in line for a custom order SX AWD... with latest system it automatically fills the custom orders first as priorityIf you earned 8, do all 8 go to fill custom orders or does the dealer typically order some for inventory?
Is FC working? The latest VINs I am seeing are 11/7. Is it normal for there to be a few days without new VINs?

I believe allocations came in yesterday, which tells dealers how many of each trim they have to order this cycle. Stephen mentioned they have until the 16th to finish placing their orders, which to me then means KFOS (Kia Forward Order System) opens on 11/17, which is when your order would be officially placed in the queue with Kia and you’d get an initial ETA.Hey Stephen,
I am new at this and I placed a tentative order on 10/10/2020 for SXP AWD and was told that it would be placed this month. From what I gathered, Kia can now place orders for this month as the ordering system is open to do so? And this is for all Kias? I’m sorry if this a redundant question, but before I call the dealership to see if they placed my order I want to make sure this is true. I think my dealership is considered a lower volume one (they have 54 Telly’s according to FC for the year), so will that mess up my chances for my car to be ordered? Thanks
Okay, that makes sense! I just called my dealer and he said there are 3 orders for a Telly (I’m #3) and he will know by next week if my order will be accepted, so I guess it’s a waiting game until then. I hope it’s excepted as I’m in a lease right now and it ends in April!I believe allocations came in yesterday, which tells dealers how many of each trim they have to order this cycle. 5 1/2 months I can do. Any longer won’t work. Yea I’m going to check there and also look at other dealers at this point just in case. I can’t be stuck without a car come mid AprilI'd suggest checking failcat to see what your dealer has been getting for allocations. Unless they're in the top 75, you may have to wait longer than 5 1/2 months for it to arrive.
@StephenCantrelle - so when will the VIN information be on FC?Closing in a hour.. will start to get ETA’s as they fill starting tomorrow and going for next few days
After the Telluride is built.. so that is awhile off. Depends on location of dealer as well compared to plant as well. But once an ETA is given I would say anywhere from a month to a few weeks from when the ETA is assigned. Lots of variables adjust this though@StephenCantrelle - so when will the VIN information be on FC?

Okay, thanks for the information! This is all so new to me so I'm just trying to make sure I fully understand this process. After the Telluride is built.. so that is awhile off. Thank you for the information. This helps since I am new at this, so I'm sorry for if my questions are redundant.
