Lev Kia is killin' it!

Congratulations!! Pictures?
VERY interesting to hear that it showed up early. That must have been a fantastic call and surprise. Ours is also In Transit now with an ETA of 12/13. You have given me a little hope that we may see it sooner.
How much did you settle on for the warranty? Is it comparable to the Platinum 10y/100k/$0 that others are buying through Muncie for $1478?

Also if yours says In Transit, I would expect it pretty soon.

Sounds slightly better then the 18-22 week expectation they give you. Curious about the trade in....did they give you a fair value for the trade in or take advantage of the fact the car you special ordered is literally sitting in the parking lot ready to drive home....so basically...a take it or leave it value knowing you are ready to move on from it.?
I was expecting a can of beans. I got a few hundred $$ more than that :) I had brought it to Carmax for a purchase estimate early this year and they offered me the can of beans. I had a 16 year old car with a lot of miles. If you have a newer car, wouldn't hurt to check around. You can also bring it in ahead of time to get an appraisal from them.

Interesting. I sent a request to a few companies I heard people on this forum use. Quotes have been fair (def on low side) but not obnoxious. Wondered what the dealer would do. Thanks!

When it comes in or is getting close, and if you don't live too far from Framingham, I would give them a call and see if you can come in early to have it appraised. I had checked with Carmax only because we sold my wife's old car to them a few years ago and got more than we anticipated. They were not as kind to me :)

It looks great!! Best of luck.
I certainly hope it means it will come early. I'll be sure to report back.

Just over 25 weeks and we finally took delivery!! I received a call from Ken on Thursday letting us know our Telluride had arrived and we arranged for pickup yesterday afternoon. My wife is thrilled with it and that is the best part. I left my review in the good dealers thread and the positive experience with Lev and Ken continued straight through delivery. Zero surprises....the final sales price was at MSRP minus any available incentives at time of delivery. Delivery process was completed in about 2 hours which included evaluation of our trade-in, Finance paperwork, full walk-thru of features on the vehicle, new plates and state inspection. Overall a very smooth process and stress free.

Congrats! Looks great! Now you can take it out in this afternoon's nor'easter and let us know how she handles! 😀

We definitely wanted to get it home before today's storm hit. I am hoping to keep it nice and safe in the garage for the day! My wife has yet to drive it so hoping she will take it out tomorrow afternoon to get used to it. She wanted to play with all the gadgets on the way home from the dealer so I drove. No complaints here!

Did you have to constantly call to get updates or did they call you?

(beautiful telly btw. Never gets old)

I was just about to ask the same question. I don't want to pester because clearly reading this forum you can see patience and time are required for the process, but it's been radio silence for two months now. Was going to reach out this week.

Thank you!

Overall I would say that proactive updates were not a strong suit but any time there was a meaningful update I definitely did receive a call or text. I initiated most conversations.

After my June order I reached out every month or so via text or phone call just to check in and see if there was any news on getting in to KFOS. I also just wanted to keep the communication going so if any canceled order showed up then he might think of us. I received a text confirming KFOS entry right after it went in back in September. I waited a couple weeks and then asked Ken if he had an initial ETA and he did. After that I just kept an eye on Failcat to see when the VIN popped. Once that happened I would alternate weeks checking with Ken and verifying the latest with Stephen Cantrelle. FWIW, I found that a phone call to the dealer and asking for Ken was the quickest way to get hold of him for any question. He was always willing to check for the latest info.

For me, after the KFOS entry the anxiety of waiting dropped quite a bit. Even more so once the VIN was shown on Failcat.

Thanks for the info - I'll reach out to him this weekend. We too, are feeling a bit anxious about our order at the moment.

When you say order entered in KFOS, does that mean when your order was able to be placed due to allocation amounts for the different models at Lev and similar model orders ahead of you? It’s been almost 2 months for me. Don’t know much at the moment.

It gets better once the order is accepted in to KFOS. Keep us updated.

Correct. When Lev gets their allocations for the month the orders are picked up by Kia within KFOS (Kia Forward Ordering System). It took 3 months for ours to be picked up. Hopefully you get in for the December KFOS period.
