Lev Kia is killin' it!

I ordered from Ken Russian at Lev Kia also! Black SX NE T at the end of July. Previous ETA was 20 weeks and we got it in 8! They sell at MSRP and are up front with everything. Basically zero sales pressure from Ken. In the finance office they just asked us three times (in different ways) if we were sure we wanted to decline the extras.

So excited for you Jen! We love or telluride!

@miken07 Thanks for the heads up on the final sales/finance office stuff. That was really the last thing I was nervous about, so you've put my mind at ease.

Thank youuuu! I am sooo excited, too. It's my first car in about 8 or 9 years and my first new car in 15 years, and that was a minivan...hard to get too excited about those. Ha. I know I'm going to absolutely love the Telluride! Thanks again for sharing your experience!

I received an update from Ken today that our order has been picked up for September allocation! A huge feeling of relief....it is the first step to knowing our car WILL be delivered at some point. It finally feels like 'we're in the game'! Now we wait for the initial ETA's and eventually the VIN to pop up on Failcat.

I e-mailed earlier today and haven't heard back yet. The suspense is killing me! He did say earlier this month that it would be in this month's KFOS but I'll feel much better after confirmation.

I know how you feel. Maybe worth sending a text his way? That is how I have been communicating with him.

Hey! Congrats, @rbfromma !! Now the fun part...refreshing Failcat 6 times a day, just in case. 🤪

I've thought of that. I'm in front of my computer all day so I tend to use e-mail. But he's probably checking his phone more frequently. If I don't hear by Monday morning I will give him a call. Congrats on your order going through!

Congrats! I'm in the same boat. My SUV is 15 years old and almost 200k miles. I've never been so excited to drop $45k on a car I have not even test driven!

Thats what i keep saying, after having paid off vehicles for several years now, I'm almost excited to have a car payment lol.

What were the extras they tried to sell you on?
Extended warranty, tire package, paint package, and something else. I didn't feel like I needed any of it. We declined all. He was like "Are you sure? Or customers usually want something." We said no. He asked which one we felt would be valuable out of the selection. We said the tire but we really didn't need it. That was basically the end of it.

All in all not much pressure which I liked. They were straight forward no trickery. That's why I vouch for them and recommend them. The only thing that happened that was unexpected was that my telluride was ordered with floor mats and I couldn't tell them that I didn't want it because it was already installed. I'm not sure if they added it or it gets added automatically on orders

One more thing. I wasn't expecting my car to come early. I called them about a telluride I saw in their inventory and Ken checked up on my order and said it was slated to be delivered early. I'm sure he would have called the next week when the car was supposed to show up but the check was quick. If it's been a few weeks I would call to see where it is in the process--mine was actually on a train already.

Thanks for the info. Glad there was no pressure. Was yours a Nightfall Edition? Those that asked for or were willing to accept Nightfall seem to get theirs earlier due to Kia pushing that option.

I picked up my Telluride this morning and I'm in love! For those that are following this specifically for insight into dealing with Lev Kia and Ken Russian, I can tell you everything went incredibly smoothly and this was by far the easiest car buying/leasing transaction I've ever made.

I met with Ken for an introduction and then primarily dealt with Peter in finance, whom had already contacted me a couple days prior to confirm my leasing terms and payments, and to get the insurance setup. He was very nice and there was no pressure at any time. Before signing anything I asked if I could do a test drive and Ken got me set up and did a very quick but very thorough rundown of the most important features in the car. Typically I hate this part because as a women, I have often been treated like I'm a moron who knows nothing about cars. It was so refreshing to deal with Ken because not once did he make me feel like that.

I did notice they put a Lev Kia decal on the rear bumper so once back from the test drive I inquired with whomever was sitting up front (I assume the GM?) and he was more than happy to take it off for me.

After finalizing all the papers in finance they did the registration and inspection and once that was done, Ken brought her around front and did another quick and thorough run-through of a few things and I even learned something about using the manual key to pop off part of the external door handle casing to get in if ever the key fob was dead. Again, it was refreshing to have a salesperson that was knowledgable about the car he was selling.

Ken thanked me and said they had seen some of my comments about him and Lev Kia online and appreciated the nice words.

While I'm a little disappointed that I ordered the Illuminated Scuff Plates and did not order the carpeted floor mats but got them (and had to pay for them anyway), I am pretty sure this was an "executive decision" at the factory and no fault of Lev Kia. I am still completely over the moon with the Telluride I ordered.

I feel very confident recommending Lev Kia and Ken Russian to anyone in or around Massachusetts.

As a side note, my wife and I sat in the K5 and man, it is niiiice! It felt like sitting in a mustang (nice cockpit) but having a sedan in back. The backseat was huge. If ever we add a car to our family, this will be on our short list.

Awesome! Congrats! I don't know if you are worried about this or not, but you didn't obscure the plates in one of the photos.

Congrats Jen. She is beautiful! Great color choice😎

Congratulations and best of luck with it!!! So happy to hear that the transaction went smoothly. We are very much looking forward to getting ours from Lev and meeting Ken in person.

Oh....and less than 2 weeks from popping up on Failcat to you driving it home?!?! That is fantastic!!
