i have a 2022 sxp with rain sensing wipers. what does the small lever behind the stalk do?

Are you perhaps asking about the intermittent wiper adjustment lever? For SXP this lever adjusts the sensitivity of the rain sensing. For all other trims it adjusts the time interval. If you look closely you will see this lever goes through the stalk to the other side. I guess they designed it this way to give you the option to control it from both sides of the stalk? Unless it’s just for looks.

You can see on the turn signal stalk, the fog light switch lever has the same design and goes through the stalk.
