  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Lifelong Honda loyalists

Been driving Hondas for 35 years. Bought Telluride through Costco program so my wife could safely haul our 4 grandkids without any in front seat. Had out grown the Accord. Found NOTHING on the market that compared to Telluride value
Honda seats are some of the most uncomfortable in the auto industry--thats what keeps me away from Honda. Also like Toyota, Honda really makes some ugly crossover SUVs with the Pilot and CRV, imo.

I have been driving a steady diet of toyota pickups for the last 32 years. I wanted something luxurious, comfortable with hauling and towing ability and importantly, on budget. The Telluride I feel was the solution.

Been buying new Japanese brands exclusively for the past 30 years, mostly Hondas and Toyotas. I kept buying them because I had the perception of “there was nothing more reliable out there”.

Well my perception has changed. The Telluride got me looking into the KIA brand and it appears that KIA/Hyundai has come a long way with reliability, safety and styling.

Wife and I both had Hondas with 220k and zero problems ever. Never thought I would move away from them but it seems like their quality has been declining while Kia has been making huge strides and backing it up with almost double the warranty. That was enough for us to pull the trigger on the Telluride.

Fingers crossed!

Also, the Pilot is fugly and the minivans are....well....minivans.

Honda has been a great brand reliability-wise, and our CRV is a workhorse, but they've just been playing it too safe and boy does it show now. Our Telluride is vastly superior in every single possible metric. Honda needs to reintroduce some risk taking in a big way. Nobody is as hungry as Kia is in this industry right now and I'm loving it. :)

I have/had my share of Hondas and also a loyalist (of sorts). I'm looking for my next car and want to try something different...maybe this Telluride.

Have you towed with it yet? My concern is if after hitching an approx 3000# trailer if the backend sags much and how much clearance between the bottom of the hitch and the ground.

Acura was my go-to brand in the early 2000’s. Then Honda/Acura they let their designs get old, started using turbos (which they were not good at), and picked a terrible 8 speed transmission for quite a few models.

That was enough to end my loyalty to the Japanese brands.

My 2004 Acura TL - bought with 12 miles and driven to 135,000 miles didn’t have a single issue the whole time I owned it and is the car I still consider my favorite of all I have owned.

I'm on my first Honda ever. When the lease was up on my Sorento at the end of the January, I knew I wanted the Telluride but it wasn't on sale yet. So, I got a super clean 2011 CR-V EX-L with only 70k miles. I must say, it drives like a brand new car and has a ton of space for a smallish SUV. This thing is pretty loud on the highway and it's damn slow, but I can admit that I like little thing. We're going to keep it until the wheels fall off but obviously, it won't get as much usage once Jason hands me the keys to my Telly!

I am also just out of 20+ years in a Honda and really liking the Telluride! :)
