Have an immediate need for a car. I am located in Delaware, so the car will need to be delivered to Delaware (or Philly or NYC). Target color is the green moss with grey interior (but open to other interiors, but no white). May be able to do grey, but the desired color is moss. Need AWD and Prestige package. Do not need towing. May be able to do a grey exterior, but this depends on some other things.

The question is, how much do you want to pay. Use the VIN lookup site Telluride Lookup (PC is best) and filter your preferences. Then, call those dealerships with a recently produced VIN. I doubt you'll find an SXP with anything less than a $6k markup, but anything is possible with enough legwork. There simply isn't inventory for what you want right now. It will be a few months.

Buy a beater car to drive while you wait to order exactly what you want. Would be worth it in the end - and the amount you would probably pay for a mark up to get something now - would cover a beater car to drive for the 6-8 months while you wait for a 2021 to be built just for you.

Get the tow package. There are no recovery hooks in case you need to be pulled out of a sticky situation or onto a flatbed tow truck.

Wow, that is a helpful response. Kudos. Is probably someone else's order, but doesn't help to check.

My experience is: check the Manufacturer's website daily and once you see the car you want, call the dealer to confirm if the car is in stock (must double--triple confirm with VIN numbers, asking where exactly the car is (on showroom floor, at a nearby warehouse etc). People who picked up the calls are mostly telemarketers and many times they randomly say the car is here and want you to go so it is counted as an appointment (and they can hit their quota/make their numbers etc). Once the car is really at the dealer, drive to the dealer asap to start the price negotiation process in person.
