Meguiars Hot Rims on SX?

Bought this on amazon without reading the fine print.

Meguiar's® Hot Rims™ Wheel & Tire Cleaner, G9524, 24 oz., Spray | Meguiar's

I have an SX... wondering if those black rims fall in to the " Safe and effective on factory painted and clear coated rims, and tires" category, or if I risk damaging them. Any thoughts / anyone use this?

Unfortunately Kia and Hyudai are known to have a very weak/thin coating on their wheels. Although in theory it should be safe if used as directed we have seen issues with these wheels. You really should consider switching it out for our Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner.

Most products will tell you to test it out in a small or inconspicuous area first before applying everywhere. But good tip from their rep. Makes sense they would have information like that on all the various car brands.
