I was told 4-6 months on 9/21. I was told on 11/22 that I was #15 in line, so going by your initial eta it’ll be closer to 6 months. I’d been having a really good experience working with Tanya, but my last email got kicked back a couple of days ago, so….?I ended up ordering with Lupient in Brooklyn Park but I contacted a few other dealerships before deciding.. This was back in September of this year so you'll have to double check. They all told me they sell at MSRP if you place an order with them vs buying an incoming vehicle
Bloomington Kia -can't recall their deposit
St. Cloud Kia (Waite Park) -$500 refundable deposit
Lupient kia in Brooklyn Park $1000 refundable deposit
Barnett Kia White Bear Lake $2000 non refundable deposit. incoming tellurides not claimed had a $2500 protection package tacked on to price
I contacted Lupient on 11/10 and was told I was #20 out of 108, and then a week later was told my order was picked up. And was told in September when I initially ordered that not many people order the S trim so they "highly doubted" it would take the full 3-4 months. I was certainly expecting to have my vehicle by the end of the year based on that.. but here we are! It's ok with me, my current vehicle is paid off. And I am thinking of turning around and ordering an EX in the spring if the market is still holding like it is..I was told 4-6 months on 9/21. Good luck. One tip (true for any dealer really): Make contact and establish a relationship not only with your salesperson but also with a sales manager. I had very good communication with both throughout the process (definitely more as my shipment date neared).I contacted Lupient on 11/10 and was told I was #20 out of 108, and then a week later was told my order was picked up. Overall my experience with Lupient has been favorable. Not a ton of contact which is OK, if theres nothing to report then what's the point. But my ordering experience was quick and easy, no pressure. We'll see what it's like when I go to pick up the vehicle.
I'm seeing a lot of GG/Black combos come up on failcat and I keep hoping mine will show up a little earlier than they quoted me a month ago. It seems like most of the iniital ETAs do get bumped up a little bit. Fingers crossed ours come soon![]()
My exact order just popped up on Failcat this morning, fingers crossed…I contacted Lupient on 11/10 and was told I was #20 out of 108, and then a week later was told my order was picked up. +1 for Vlad. Test drove with him and he followed up like I asked, 2 days earlier, 3 months after our initial convo. Didn’t end up ordering with him… I’ll share why below.I bought mine (a custom order) from Lupient Kia and I could not recommend them more highly. My salesperson was Vadim Lemeshevskiy. Here's why:
* Sold for MSRP
* Very good communication from salesperson and sales manager throughout the process. No surprises.
* Refundable deposit (unlike others in Twin Cities)
* No required add-ons
* When I was ready to order, they told me how many allocations they expected and where I was in line. No other dealer in town was willing to be that transparent.
* No high-pressure finance office. In fact, I told them I wanted a contactless sale, so they sent all the paperwork to my home. I could look it over at my leisure, decide if I wanted any of the optional offers (I didn't), and return it to them. I never set foot inside the dealership.
* I got exactly the car I ordered in exactly the timeframe they estimated.
* I did speak with every other dealership in the entire state before deciding on Lupient, and it worked out great for me.
Good luck!
From what I have gathered from this forum and my experience, yes, that thought process is correct. It seems like some factors go in to how long you are in queue- trim ordered, how many people ahead of you, how many allocations the dealership gets.When you say “order was picked up” do you mean it was in queue with Vlad/Lupient Kia for a while before Kia telluride plant acknowledged they were starting to build it?
I am also planning to order with that dealer. Did they have any timeframe on a 2023? I really want to know if its worth the wait. Who did you work with?Stopped by Luther Kia Bloomington 23 dec. They will sell at MSRP and no dealer add on. Told them i want 2023 Telluride. They will hold my order till March or such time to insure 2023 models can be ordered. SX Prestige, Nightfall. Towing Pkg, Interior Light kit

No time frame yet. Luther Kia told me they are receiving 2022 Tellurides ordered up to 6 months ago. Any time June or later might be 2022 0r 2023 model. Luther has 200-2022 Tellurides on order. Salesman Mike L. working with me.After having purchased ours there, I'd highly recommend Cheri Brotemarkle.
