• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So I tried rebadging my car.. turns out it wasn’t as easy as YouTube made it look .. ended up damaging some paint (emotionally distraught for hours). Took it to my uncles shop to fix it and replace the emblems.. had to remove the back “telluride” logo to repaint, but since the lettering from Kia is on back order, it’s going to take about two weeks to come in. So right now the “debagged” look will do but I am looking forward to PROUDLY displaying my “telluride” lettering on the back.

Glad it worked out. I know the feeling. I scratched my Telly with the garage door while having the tailgate open :(

Thanks! Yeah I don’t know how but I guess the goof-off got under the tape and good ol chemistry took its course.. started to corrode the clear coat it looked pretty jacked up /:

Goo-gone shouldn't damage paint. I've debadged several cars and used it to remove the residue... no damage.

Advice: I am having my white telluride "clear bra" applied on the entire hood and I am thinking of removing the telluride logo from the front hood. Any thoughts or suggestions on keeping it or leaving it?

Are you doing this yourself or paying a shop to install for you? Link? I'm weary about hood deflector soaking up rain wafer, but clear bra sounds like a great alternative.

I'm interested in knowing how the lettering is attached as it will need to come off in order to apply PPF to the hood. As for keeping it leaving it, my plan is to black out the lettering and reinstall over the PPF. I also want to do this on the lift gate bit just need to confirm how the lettering attaches. Anyone.know?

I ended up having the detailer remove the entire Telluride logo from the front hood. I am happy with the clear bra that was placed on my entire hood, front end, door handles, outdoor mirrors and door guards. The entire job was a bit pricey($1,300), but then again, everything is in the California Bay Area.- BTW- I didn't ask how they removed the lettering.

I had a shop do the removal and application of the clear bra. Very happy with the finish product. The shop I took it to has fantastic customer review history and has many high end vehicle owners that get their work done here. I live in the SF bay area.

Can you link the shop?
