Murray kia order to delivery time

I'm trying to figure out where Murray kia is in regard to orders being picked up. What I mean is I ordered on September 30th and my order has not been picked up yet. I don't expect it to be picked up until at least January.

This thread is for anyone who ordered from Murray kia waiting for their Telluride to be picked up. Maybe as a group we can figure out where they are at. Let us know what date you ordered and if your Telluride was picked up yet. Anyone who ordered in August get picked up yet?

Hopefully some people who ordered in August will pop up here. I'm curious where they are at. I was quoted 6 to 10 months for delivery , but I feel like it will be more like 5 or 6.

I asked where I was in line about a month ago. They said I was right around 72. So I’m guessing worst case is another 2-3 months before order is picked up.

Funny you say that. I was number 71 when I ordered 9/30. Then when I emailed in mid November , I was told I was in the 50s.... Something seems off. Did you change your order at any point? I think you go to the back of the list if you change anything.

Well that’s interesting. I haven’t changed anything on the initial order. Don’t even know what to think now….

I ordered from Murray on 8/18 and mine has still not been picked up yet, I did call over today and was told one ahead of me from my salesman doesn’t include the other salesman and hoping it’s get picked up when kfos opens this month.

Okay, that's some good insight. So it looks like they are about to pick up orders from mid August ish. I don't think it matters who the salesman is, I believe once you order you get put into kdealer and you then have a spot in line. Looks like you should get picked up next time it opens.

I'm going to guess that the issue is on the Kia end of things and that production times have grown.

I placed my order with Murray in early June, it was picked up that month and the car was delivered in September. I actually wanted an SX-P but changed to an EX-P because I was advised that the lead time for an EX was significantly shorter (I needed the car before the end of the year, something problematic for the SX and much more likely with the EX per the sales manager).

While I love the EX-P, for various reasons, I still think I'd prefer the SX and recently contacted Murray to see what the lead time for a 2023 would be. It has grown considerably and an order placed now may not deliver until spring of 2023 (16 months!) with 10 months being the short end of the range.

They don't call these things "Sellurides" for nothing . . .

I ordered Sep 8th and my order still hasn't been picked up yet. I spoke to my sales person today and he reassured me that as soon as it is picked up I will get a call. Then things go very quickly after you get the VIN number. We have baby #3 due any day now so we would love to get the call that our car is ready. Fingers crossed!

Woo who. That's exciting. I'd be pumped to get that news. That's also great for all of us who ordered in September. And now we know exactly where Murray Kia is with orders. 8/18 and maybe further.

Does anyone know about how long until delivery once your picked up? Specifically for from Murray. I believe it's 6 to 8 weeks? Can anyone verify

They did mention in about a month he should have an ETA, so that time frame sounds about right

I'm interested in ordering with Murray Kia. I just got off the phone with a rep and they indicated that i'll need to place a non-refundable $500 deposit. Is that the norm with everyone that ordered with Murray?

I'm reading that other places are only requiring a refundable $500 deposit.
