Murray kia order to delivery time

I'm trying to figure out where Murray kia is in regard to orders being picked up. What I mean is I ordered on September 30th and my order has not been picked up yet. I don't expect it to be picked up until at least January.

This thread is for anyone who ordered from Murray kia waiting for their Telluride to be picked up. Maybe as a group we can figure out where they are at. Let us know what date you ordered and if your Telluride was picked up yet. Anyone who ordered in August get picked up yet?

I ordered 8/12, and was just picked up the middle of November. They are right in line with timing from what they told me when I ordered, as much as I was hoping it would be quicker than they thought lol.

~4.5 months still isn't bad at all. From what I've heard from others and from my own order, it was 6-8 months about a month ago and I think I saw some mention being told 8-10 months more recently. I'm still hoping for less than 6 months given the current pace, but with those estimates climbing like that, I'm getting concerned that they had a huge increase in orders in the last few months.

I also don't rely on what number in line people are being told they are. Some folks who ordered a couple months before me were being told they were in the 70s when they ordered. People who ordered more recently were also told they were in the 70s. I ordered mid November and I have a text telling me I'm 44th for SX AWDs. There's no way I'm that lucky!

Roger is saying it is 10-20 months for SX delivery. I guess you would be looking at a 2024 model before it was finally delivered? How do you even know if they would still even offer the color you ordered now?

I'm going to guess that the issue is on the Kia end of things and that production times have grown.

I placed my order with Murray in early June, it was picked up that month and the car was delivered in September. I actually wanted an SX-P but changed to an EX-P because I was advised that the lead time for an EX was significantly shorter (I needed the car before the end of the year, something problematic for the SX and much more likely with the EX per the sales manager).

While I love the EX-P, for various reasons, I still think I'd prefer the SX and recently contacted Murray to see what the lead time for a 2023 would be. It has grown considerably and an order placed now may not deliver until spring of 2023 (16 months!) with 10 months being the short end of the range.

They don't call these things "Sellurides" for nothing . . .

I believe he is being extremely conservative. He told me 8 to 12 months at the end of September. And it's already looking like it'll be about 6 months when I take delivery

That is crazy, I ordered from Murray on July 31st with literally the same specs (aside from Dune Brown) and my still hasn't been picked up yet. Ugh getting old waiting this long.

That's odd, they seemed to be through August now. Have you contacted them to see where you are?

That seems odd. There is definitely a few on here that were ordered mid August that have been picked up. I believe they were sx Awd as well. I ordered September 30th and was hoping to be picked up January or February at the latest.

The only thing that would make sense is if the Dune Brown does have as many allotted per month. But I thought allotments only went by trim level and Awd vs. Fwd.

It’s funny, I was researching Murray vs Sussman when I wrote my post…I actually ordered from Sussman, but just got alerted today that my order was picked up and scheduled for delivery on Feb 24th.

I never got any confirmations or anything like that as some have described and I didn’t get VIN until it arrived and was ready for pickup but it was exactly what I asked for. I also think they cited me like 6-8 mo and it was less.

If you don't mind me asking what trim did you order? Some people that ordered within a week after you, just got picked up in kfos in late November and December. They had gotten an sx.
