Just a quick update on this ... mine hit failcat on 12/14. It was originally going to be available to pick up mid January. I just found out yesterday that it is being bumped to early February due to transport issues. It's done and good to go, they are just having transport issues currently.

I just noticed that no tellurides have it hit failcat since 12/23 for Murray (almost 2 weeks). Based on recent data, this seems out of the norm. It is a bit worrying, but perhaps it has to do with the Holidays?

Honestly, I wouldn't take much stock in it. Mine never showed in failcat and I checked last night.

I'm pretty sure that the Kia factory shuts down at the end of December for the holidays. This is normal I think.

Kia was shut down for 2 weeks. They’re now back working so FC should update sometime with the next 24hrs

Just to chime in, I ordered from Murray 9/18 and it has not been picked up by KFOS yet.

I'll be waiting for your reply when you get picked up, I'm 12 days behind you. I'm thinking you might get picked up by the end of January, did you have any estimates for yourself?

I ordered Sep 8th and my order still hasn't been picked up yet. I spoke to my sales person today and he reassured me that as soon as it is picked up I will get a call. Then things go very quickly after you get the VIN number. We have baby #3 due any day now so we would love to get the call that our car is ready. Fingers crossed!

Their average is about 25 per month....if you're being quoted 18 months, even taking away 2 months for delivery, they have....400 orders in front of you? That doesn't seem right. I know they're conservative with lead times, but if what @jk918 says below is right, it's a 6 month wait (85 orders ~ 3-4 months to clear, plus 6-8 weeks to build/deliver).

What trim level were you getting. Maybe they meant 17 for s or ex trims, which they only get 1 or 2 a month of s trims? Or maybe you mis heard if over the phone? It seems that their line has been over 60 for new orders since at least August. In late September I was number 71. Or a very bad scenario for all of us would be if they had their allotment changed to a much lower number.... Yikes.

I believe they are getting 20 or 21 a month for the last 5 months or so. They were getting 25 a month before that. Maybe there allotment is going down.

I was quoted 12-20 months for SX and 10-14 months for LX, S, and EX. They didn't mention 84 orders are only for SX trim but I understood it's in total.

Ordered mine from Murray in August, had to revise November due to wife wanting a different interior color. Picked up by kfos 12/15. Was estimated April delivery. They did mention orders where piling up in December.
