• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... New 2023....road trip....select driver 1 profile...in nav, search for destination, find it, start route....drive for about 3 hours....stop...switch driver and profile....destination and route is gone. Search for destination to reenter...it cannot be found. Give up...resort to Android auto which works. What gives?

Different issue, but same topic. Within the last week or so, the voice in Waze or Maps (iPhone) has stopped coming through the audio system. Worked fine for two months, then boom. Any suggestions?

You switched driver profiles. The entire point of different profiles is having different saved favorites, destinations, etc.

Make sure you have the sound turned up for it. You could simply turn up the volume when a the system is talking, but since you can’t hear anything, you probably don’t know when a prompt is happening. So you might have to go into setup > sound > connected devices > CarPlay and make sure things are to your liking.

Well...I understand that.....however....I would think it's pretty common for a couple to share driving responsibilities on a long trip and killing the GPS when you switch is counter productive.

I don't understand why you would change the driver profile in that situation?

Well...maybe my concept is off....when I drive, I pick my profile, when my spouse drives, she picks hers. I can't tell its making much difference since the major change is the radio presets.....and now obviously..... GPS settings. Oh....then there are the phone settings. Some of these you share, some you don't and obviously switching profiles is not the thing to do in some cases. Maybe we just need to forget the profiles and find common ground. In which case, driver profiles are useless.
